foe those that have had silicone reconstruction, could u please tell me if your " boobs" feel completely smoothe, or can u still feel unevenness?  Just wondering if you can still fell blood vessels or muscle ?

They feel like silicon implants. Not natural to feel..odd to have muscle on top of the implants, therefore do not hug me. But it beats having cancer and I am not concerned about what they look like. The scars are still very apparent, so until science can eliminate the huge ugly scars I could care less about weather they are even in appearance.

Mine feel smooth to the touch. The major difference now, is that a good portion of my breasts are completely numb, my nips are tattoos, and since the implants are placed beneath the pec muscles, you can feel them when you use your pec muscles. I can't really tell by finger touch that the pec is on top of the implant. My armpit is a bit more cavernous now, and harder to shave since that muscle has been shifted a litte.

Mine also feel smooth to the touch. Not wonky like the expander. Is wonky a word? Hahaha!

I don't feel or see "unevenness". When I press on my breast, it just feels to my fingers like firm breasts, I can't feel that there is a muscle there over top, nor feel the implant under it...it feels like one breast. I don't really feel muscle flex or anything, at least not significantly; I am very active and do lift some rather heavy things but avoid specifically targeting my pectorals. If I really, really press into my skin/tissue I can find a couple implant "edges" but I don't otherwise see them or feel them. Where I only have Alloderm coverage (no muscle) at the bottom, I can sort of feel the implant shell if I press into my tissue, but again, it is not otherwise visible nor can I feel it without pressing into it.  I do press into it though as I think it feels kind of cool...Nerdy

So, I'm sitting here feeling myself up so I can accurately answer your question. I just feel firm, but squishy "breasts". I can't identify what I'm feeling, under the skin, as muscle and certainly can't feel blood vessels. I can make the muscles "jump" and the implants go along with them. Could be a neat part trick! The first poster mentioned bad scarring but I noticed her surgery date is 2/14, just 6 months post op. That's not much time for scars to fade. I am coming up on 3 years since my bmx (one step implants), and my scars are barely visible. I don't remember how long it took for them to fade, but I know it was far more than six months.  Good luck to you.

Ok so we stay at Rocky Mountain Nat'l Park for vaca - elevation 8500 ft, my normal is 500 ft. I promise you it felt like the implants expanded - sort of like a potato chip bag. My PS said it doesn't happen, but it did. It was not a problem and it seemed to adjust in a couple days.

my scars are also practically invisible. Nipple surgery is good, feeling firm but squishy at the same time.  I love that I don't have to wear a bra unless I want to...and I can't say enough about the tattoos.  They made all the difference in the world.  One implant has shifted just a tad lower than the other but that's okay ....and the PS says if it becomes a problem, she will just take a tuck.  All in all, I'm very happy with the outcome.  P. S. Cancer still sucks.

My scars are in the IMF, so not really visible and also fading day be day.

farmerlucy, interesting...I live at about 3500 ft and since surgery have regularly continued to go to over 2x that into the Canadian Rockies, and also am back to scuba diving so am under pressure, and have not noticed anything like that to date happening in my implants...!

Hi I had the left mx and ps placed the implant over the muscle. FF ten months. Had the rightmx and different ps placed implant under muscle.

lefty is fine, feels smooth and soft, but with a few lumpy areas.

Righty. Well now, I'm having a few problems with infection at the moment, but it is squishier and more rippled.

Mine are smooth to the touch. They are under the pec muscle. I have the Gummy bear ones with Alloderm

I had bilateral silicone implants placed in December 2009.

At almost five years out, my scars have faded to a very thin white lines.

My implants have become softer over the years as my muscles have relaxed and my husband (the expert in breast feeling up ) says they feel like normal breasts to him.
