So relieved

Hi all! It's been two weeks since my BMX and today I finally was able to try on most of my wardrobe (had to wait until I could get things over my head lol). I am so excited to say that most of my clothes are totally still wearable! I found these little Coobie imitation bras at Forever 21 that have the little "modesty liners" in them and then took some of the fiberfill from my Amoena surgical cami "puffs" and stuck just enough in the bra to not allow the liners to go concave. It's perfect! It gives me just enough of a bump that I look very, very small chested instead of surgically flat. I am so happy about this I could cry

Anyway, healing is going pretty well. Still a bit sore and bruised-feeling (and feel a "pulling sensation" when I go from laying or sitting to standing), but I am much more comfortable since the drains came out on Monday.

Well done belleb! Glad you've found something that works for you, when I first had my surgery it was scorching, mid Summer in Australia and I sewed a modesty pad into a sarong, to help me get by till I could get fitted for a form and Mx bras.

I understand that feeling of elation, when you get over another hurdle. It is a subtle shift that happens to many of us after this kind of life changing surgery.

Good to see you're healing well, and we all understand how great it feels, to lose the drains! There will be more unusual sensations as the nerves regenerate and the healing continues. Some that will come because you are overdoing it:)  Take it easy! I wish you all the very best for a speedy, uneventful recovery.

Great that you so quickly found a way to feel good about yourself. Hope your healing continues to go well. As you probably know, the soreness and bruising are totally normal after only two weeks.

Thanks guys! I know it's normal to still be uncomfortable, I'm just so darn impatient...the rest of me wants to start living, now I just have to wait for the chest to catch up :)
