Skull pain

Options

Would someone please tell me if they have experienced skull pain, this is NOT headache pain, it's strictly pain in my skull!  I'm so tired of all the crap of not knowing what's what!!  I know the two week rule, my problem is this, if it comes today and is gone tomorrow then comes again, when does the two weeks start?

    Hi,

Earlier in the summer, I had awful pain in the back of my skull, radiating down the back of my neck.  I was certain it was mets.  Couple of trips to the osteopath = complete cure. I'd been doing lots of yoga as part of my new fitness regime and had inflamed a muscle in my neck, one of those that inserts into the base of the skull.

Any possibility of this being the case for you?

Thanks Badger, I do have a lot of issues with my back and shoulders and occasionally my neck, so I guess it is possible!  But I've been having massages and going to chiro for relief and I've about  got back pain under control with only occasional flares (still worried that this too, may be mets) and also I've noticed that the skull pain is less frequent, but it is still happening!

Thinking of you Nettie. Remember though, even if something lasts more than two weeks, it doesn't always mean that it's something bad. My Onc who is very good and has many years of experience said the two week rule is a guideline only. That's why I said something that's NOT bad can last two weeks or more. It seems like if it is bone mets it would get progressively worse. Do you think yours could be arthritis? I hope you get to the bottom of it soon. If you're concerned then certainly ask your doc about it. I still worry also so I know it's hard to not think the worst. Hang in there and keep us posted.
