I have a update on Debby ladies...
sorry if you all ready read this in prayers just wanted to make sure you all knew
WORRISOME NEWS ...
There is a tumour on her thyroid that is attached to her voicebox. No scan for that until December ? She has to get the iodine out of her system first before they can do anything . Her cholesterol is very high and she has a blocked artery in her neck. She's having stress tests done (not sure when) to determine if it has gone down as far as her heart.
Debby is resting today trying to absorb it all. She will be back, We are sure when she is feeling a little better.
(Thanks Sherry)
hugs,
Carrie -

Deb, thinking positive thoughts and praying for good news.
-
A good note about thyroid tumors...my aunt had thyroid cancer about 25 years ago, had to get the iodine out of her system before treatments too and she's going stong and feeling fine still today, wish I had more info...hoping for the same results for Debby.
Hugs again Debby
Vickie
Who's cookin? Vera??? -
Its this a new type of tumor or is it a bc mets tumor on her thyroid?
-
Thanks for posting that newvickie.
I'm hungry too. Who's cooking? I'd offer but ya'll wouldn't want to eat it. LOL
Susan -
Susan...I am always so hungry I'd eat nearly anything!!! Up to 117lbs, finally.
Jasmine...I don't think bc mets go to the thyroid...do they? -
Howdy gals,
I've had some catching up to do and I see we need to keep this wagon circle going; seems some of BC sisters can really use our hugs, humor, encouragement and prayers.
Still having some computer issues- when I enter the discussion boards here especially- think maybe I have picked up some pretty damaging spyware so trying not to stay online to long.
I went to the Inspiration/Prayer and see that Rachel has now disappeared. Has anyone heard from her. It just shows a post as anonymous
Man, am I sorry I missed that lobster!!!!!!!!!
To those that are having some really hard days - hugs and prayers. -
Naniam...sorry your having computer issues. Does your computer have the "Go Back" feature...I've fixed mine that way a couple of times.
This wagon train will stay strong...no matter what!
Hugs and prayer right back to ya.
Vickie -
Have you tried completely shutting your pc down instead of the soft reboot/restart?
-
yep rabbit stew with feggies from alaska, cornbread and some kind of dessert but we're not having anything with iodine in it...
Does that mean no more seafood for Debbie, how does one go about getting the iodine out of ones system?? -
Well, some salt you buy is 'iodized'. Does that count?
-
Yup...salt is iodized...you can buy it without though. I remember my aunt not being able to eat bread and many many other things that you wouldn't think would contain iodine. I'll google foods without iodine tomorrow and see what I come up with for a list.
I'll call my aunt too and see what she can offer. -
Tried that too, in fact, I even called the guy today that set up my Dell and he told me how to find and do the system restore. Hope everyones spyware protection was better than the one I had - maybe you all need to scan just to make sure as JoanofArdmore was also having problems with "just this site".
Yea, I am curious too, what did they tell Deb to do to get the iodine out of her system?
Gotta get off line - love you "sisters"
