My question is kind of straight forward- is a Breast Lift for symmetry worth it?

I had a unilateral mastectomy Sept 2013 and have finished treatment except for a couple more Herceptin's and just scheduled my reconstruction surgery. I had 6 weeks of radiation so I'm am getting a LD flap with implant. I'm a small "B" on the unaffected side. The part I'm still processing is the PS offer to do a Breast Lift on the unaffected side. That being said, I know everyone's experience is different but I guess I feel like I need more (and would appreciate any) input anyone has to help me make my decision.

I had a lift done on my remaining breast and I am so glad it did. With having 3 kids and aging I was sagging pretty good and there was no way I would have gotten a good match without the lift. For me it was well worth it. Do know that there is a chance you may lose nipple sensation after the lift, I was fortunate that did not happen to me. If you think a lift would make you feel more complete then go for it.

I had a lumpectomy in 2009, followed by radiation (and chemo).

Uni Mastectomy in 2012.  LD flap/TE placement surgery Sept 2013, then exchange surgery Jan 2014. Had my other side lifted, small implant put in at that time.

Was very happy with the 'height' of my lift, but has since sagged a bit.  Going back for more surgery in 2 weeks to re-lift and get a nipple on the LD side.

Because the LD side is tight, implant is firmly placed, there's no sagging.  Wearing a cami, or even sports bra makes me look very unbalanced, and I hate it.  Feel very self conscious without my bra.  PS agreed it's not balanced, and it is common to have a revision.  Yes, I have lost nipple sensation but PS says it will come back - may take 2 years.

Definitely go for the lift!!    Feel free to PM me if you like!
