Thank you, Lisa. I had no idea she was so sick. It's always hard to lose a BC sister, but this one hits very close to home.
Rest in peace, Susan.
Much love to all the Furies.

Hello, Furies ~
Just checking in to say it's my cancerversary. Four years. Wow.Love to all of you.
-
I haven't posted since 2010...wow. Although I have most of you on fb.
I am missing Sue today though, and now apple.
Damn disease. I don't want to lose any more of the Furies!!
-
Just dropping by to check and see if any of the old gang is still checking in. Blessings, Kathy
-
Mrsrockytop- I am still here. Going thru a local recurrence now
. But I am still here.
-
Jaimieh, Good to hear from you, but sorry to hear of your recurrence. I too have recurred with spread to widespread bones. Taxol has failed and now I am on Tykerb and having radiation to hips, spine and pelvis. Keep in touch and let me know how you are doing. What is your treament? Blessings, Kathy
-
Kathy damn I am so sorry that you have bone Mets. Hopefully your new plan will blow the mets out of here or at least send the little suckers into remission.
I did 3 AC and today I start on weekly herceptin with perjeta thrown in every 4 weeks to kill any rogue cells. After that is done I move onto herceptin only for a year.

BTW wearing my t shirt that I made just for my last chemo last time.
-
Jamie and Kathy ~ oh shoot, I hate that you ladies are dealing with recurrence. Damn cancer. >:-( Best wishes to you both, and you'll be in my prayers.
-
Jaimieh and MrsRockyTop ~ How are you ladies doing? I pray that things are going well for you.

Artemis, thank you so much for checking up on me. I have been having a horrible time with my new medication, Tykerb. It has been three months of unending diarrhea. I am about ready to give up on it. Hoping for a treatment that I can enjoy life with. Thank you for your prayers. I pray you are doing well., Kathy
-
MrsRockyTop ~ I'm so sorry about the Tykerb. I sure hope you can get on something that won't make you so sick. *hugs*
As for me, I'm having a brain MRI this Friday because I've been having shooting pains in my head since the first of June. Ugh. My onc really doesn't think it's anything beside tension, but you know they always want to check things out...
Love to all the Furies!

Artemis, Oh my, I will be praying that your scan is negative. It is always good to keep a close watch on anything unusual. Keep me posted on what you find out. Blessings, Kathy
-
Thank you, Kathy! I had the scan, and I hope to get the results Monday or Tuesday.
-
My MRI is normal! Praise the Lord!!
-
God is good!! Now carry on and have a wonderful life. Blessings, Kathy
-
Kathy ~ Have you switched from Tykerb? You are very much on my mind and in my prayers.
And yes, He is good all the time. :-)
-
Artemis I am so glad it was nothing. Happy dance time.

Artemis, I got a month break due to radiation burns and a trip to visit family in the U.S. So I just started back on Tykerb Friday night. So far so good. Trying to stay ahead of it. My sister was just diagnosed with breast cancer and I got to be with her during her first oncology visit. She will start radiation tomorrow and then hormonals. Hopefully the Tykerb will be good this time. We are hoping to take our daughter on a little vacay during her two weeks break from college next week. She did not get to go with us this time. Hope you are doing well. Blessings, Kathy
-
Oh my goodness, I'm so sorry about your sister's diagnosis. I hope her treatment goes well and that you won't have trouble with the Tykerb. It's always something....
Love, Artemis

Hi everyone-- reviving this thread for a brief update. Our KerryMac passed away. I'm heart-broken.
xxo
-
Michele it still doesn't seem real.
.
-
I've been forever curious. Is your MSROCKYTOP name because you come from TN?
-
A cold chill just came over me another time with another warrior lost. We think we have beat the beast and yet it sneaks back in when we're not looking. Blessings to all who are enjoying health and prayers for all who are facing continued health issues.
-
I was talking about Kerry today. I was telling my husband something funny she had said to me after a marathon.
I still can't believe she's gone.
