Diep Flap Surgery

Hi!  New to this forum.  I have had a bilateral mastectomy in 2011, diagnosed with stage 2A breast cancer, estrogen +, with + lympnodes.  I currently have implants and they are being rejected due to radiation.  It has been suggested that I now have a DIEP flap.  Has anyone delt with Dr, Au @ Yale New Haven Hospital or Dr. Passaretti in Darien?

    Hi KilSierr1125, 

    I'm pretty new to this forum as well.  There is a topic "DEIP 2014" it is very active with a lot of wonderful women with experience on this topic.  You might want to check it out.  I'm awaiting a date for the DEIP surgery so I don't have any real experience with the surgery itself, so I checked out this site to gain some perspective.  It's a great space for learning and sharing with other woman.  Hope this helps..........
