Don't know if ppl already know about this free service to remove radiation tattoos, and how safe it is,  but thought it might be helpful

I hope a lot more dermatologists and laser clinics get on board to do this.  None of the current locations are convenient for me, but I'll check back.  I'd like to have three small markings removed.  I can't stand those little "souveniers" and why aren't they using a henna tattoo that would disappear over time?  Permanent black marks are not for me.

I'd also like to make a pre-emptive statement that I know some people
are fine with their tiny little tattoos that have faded to freckles that
they can hardly find anymore, etc., and I hope those people don't even weigh
in with comments because this thread is not about how o.k. you are with them, it is about getting them removed.  All the many opinions on tattoos have been covered a hundred times elsewhere.  To each their own, but if you happen to be one who is fine with the permanent marks, I don't see how this thread would even apply.

Thanks, Debic, for the info.  I hope this thread can remain on topic.

I live in Jamaica so none of these places are close to me either :)

I got 10+ tattoos, don't know why, as it seemed they covered them all up with Sharpie marker as well !!

I just finished rads and was told not to scrub my skin or put alcohol on it for another two weeks, so I still have the Sharpie marks and can't tell how how noticeable the tattoos are as yet. I really hope that what I am now seeing is Sharpie dots and not tattoos because they are VERY big and noticeable !!

There are three locations very close to me, one in my town and another at my treatment center.  I don't know if I'll take advantage of this service though.

I have an appointment with a micropigmentation specialist at my PS office this week for nipple tattoos.  I'll ask her to take a look at my radiation tattoos and see what she thinks.

A very interesting opportunity though!  Thanks for sharing.
