Left breast swollen/painful

I suffer from costochondritis and had a flare up this past Monday.  Saw dr. and was told to take Naproxen.  On Wednesday my left breast started to hurt.  The Naproxen I take for the costochondritis helps a bit with the pain.  My breast is still very tender, painful and feels heavy. I don't feel any lump. My right breast feels fine. I've had the mirena IUD for 2 years and no longer get periods so it's hard for me to say if this is cyclical pain. Trying to get an appointment with my dr.  Any advice?

    Gloro, Sorry you are dealing with this pain. We see that you haven't gotten a response to your question. We can say that most in this community would suggest that you direct any unusual symptom breast or otherwise to your doctor's attention. Let us know how you make out. The Mods

    Hi- I have had somewhat similar symptoms recently myself. I have pain only in my left breast..its not throbbing pain, more so feels like an ache. but tender. I thought it might be cyclical with my period, but it comes and goes somewhat randomly throughout the month. I have just made an appt with my Gyno to discuss the issue and will keep you posted.

    Ive had similar symptoms also and am quite paranoid it could be bc but im a worrier and very paranoid. Definitely get a follow up appt. it could be nothing but it could be something. i think its definitely costo related. ill keep you in my prayers. xx
