Wednesday Weigh In
Comments

Down .5 to 130.5. Trying to be good today because MO will weigh me tomorrow.
-
Lost 5 of the 10 vacation pounds....which means I want to lost 10 more to be where I was before I started having all this summer fun!
-
I weigh the same as last week.
-
Ok. Nnow I am motivated if I may join all of you. Lost 3 pounds this week.
Thanks for this encouragement!
-
Yay! Donsuzbee!! Great Job! Those first few pounds really get us inspired to keep going. This is a wonderful place for support and encouragement... -
Down .5 to 157.5 - I'll take it, as I pigged out Sunday at a pool party so was sure I'd be up.
-
Down .5 to 130.0. The MO had the nerve to weigh me with sneaker on left foot and air cast on right. First time I've ever been weighed with shoes, so I'm not going to let it get me down.
-
Got two more vacation pounds off.....3 more to go to get at the very top edge of an acceptable weight for me
-
I've been doing very low carb all week trying to work off Sunday breakfast AND dinner out. I was up three lbs Monday morning but now just have ,6 more to go. Interesting that it takes me 4 days to get rid of one day of damage.
-
I stayed exactly the same. Was sure I would lose since I hadn't been feeling super and my appetite was off.
-
Ugh, I didn't do so well. (As you can tell by the late post.) BUT, I started once again. Cheers all.
-
I am so inspired by all of you who stay on this thread solidly reporting- the ups and the downs!! Congrats to all of the "losers" on here-the good type of loss that is! It is so hard. I have been on a plateau for two months now.
I had to write in with guilt because I had my port removal surgery ysterday and then ate a giant greasy slice of pepperoni pizza in the cafeteria. It had been about 20 hours since I could have solid food so I thought "I deserved it". Delish- but OH the guilt. I am NOT weighing this AM.
But I will get back up on that weight loss pony and ride her this week, after my incision heals a bit. one week at a time right?
Thanks to all for the inspiration.
-
I forgot to post on Wed. I stayed the same.
-
I just got back from a mini-vacation & will be on a girls-day-out with my Book Club tomorrow. Thursday I am going to have to log into loseit.com (or be locked away) and get serious again!
sciencgal, port removal absolutely requires a celebration!!!! Congratulations!
-
I lost 1 pound...
-
I gained .5 to 130.5. Blaming all the chocolate it took to keep up with 2 GS last weekend.
-
forgot to weigh yesterday, this morning was 157 again, no change from last week. My seasonal allergies have kicked in big time, and the pill I take for them always seems to act like an appetite suppressant, so their is a silver lining to having allergies! Wedding in Vermont this weekend, so I will need to watch what I eat.
-
135.4 I think I'm up a little. Contrats to those who've lost. Good job.
-
I weighed yesterday but forgot to post. Down a pound to 156. So, since coming back from a February all inclusive vacation, I have lost about 10 pounds, which I am very happy with. I always seem to be able to lose weight in the summer, as I am more active, and I find my allergy meds kind of act like an appetite suppressant. My biggest problem with eating is the fall - we have football parties to go to every weekend with bad for you food, and then the dreaded Thanksgiving/Christmas season. So even though I have more weight to lose, maintenance will be my goal once football starts again, and a tough goal it will be!
As some of you may recall, last month I did an online weight loss challenge called Meltdown Challenge, where you ante up money, and then if you reach the goal of the challenge (lose 4% of your body weight), you share in the pool of money as a prize. Told you I would report back when it was over. I did reach my goal, and my share of the kitty was a couple of bucks more than I put in. Daily you would get things to read or videos to watch, and you get points for doing them and other things like recording your food, recording your water intake, etc. But overall I found that it wasn't the challenge for me, and probably would have met my goal even if I hadn't partaken in the challenge. I don't think I will be doing another one.
-
Good job, pat!!!
Down just a couple ounces.....need to get serious!
-
Up .5 to 130.5.
-
I logged into my loseit.com account for the first time since last spring. I know if I actually USE it, it will work. Already today I stayed home and made my own lunch instead of meeting DH for pizza, as he suggested; so chalk up one healthy meal anyway!
-
I went so crazy this weekend, I didn't weigh this morning. Friday we went out to our splurge restaurant and ate ourselves silly. Saturday my friend and I went for pizza (1/4 pie). Sunday we celebrated my DD's birthday with dim sum followed by my book club's lunch. I told DH I felt like I was being fattened for fois gras.
-
I lost 2 pounds since I logged back on to loseit.com on Monday......which just shows how HORRIBLY I have been pigging out this whole summer!!!!
-
Up one to 131.5. No real surprise considering last weekend. Maybe I'll look in to loseit.
-
Wow, just found this thread and after reading what you ladies weigh, I will NOT even post my weight! It is way out of range and I can NOT get it off!! Nothing works! So I lost motivation and quit trying, however, I haven't gained any, but I need to lose 50, NOT GOING TO HAPPEN! -
We don't care what anyone's weight is, Nettie, in fact the original poster comments not to post your weight, just gains or losses (of course people can post their weight if they want to if that helps them be accountable). This is just for support if you want to lose some weight, and it doesn't matter where you start. If you want to take another stab at it, you are welcome to come here and/or try Weight Watchers, Nutri-System, loseit.com, upping the exercise, or any of the other good programs/strategies out there. It is hard work to take/keep weight off but, of course, it can be done.
-
yep, Nettie...GREAT and positive/no-judgement accountability, here!!!
But it still hurts to say I am up 5 thanks to some end of summer celebrating.
Ugh.
You can write down your starting weight on your own calender in secret and just say your ups and downs.
-
Thanks, but my problem is no more try left. Spent so much time already and got NO results. I'm just tired of trying
-
Just want to report that I am going to bed without my midnight snack, even though I am starving! (Now that it is in writing I, for sure, have to do it!) I sure wish that they still had the emoticon with the halo, 'cause I'd insert it here
