Just lost 10 lbs that I worked so hard to get on
Don't laugh,,,skinny ppl r not happy being skinny...nuthin fits me and I just got rid of all my small clothes sayin to myself this is it....yeah right
Sorry JOJO for the rain every day
Time to come home....unless u plan on comin here!!!!!
-
Slow can give you 10, please allow me to give you the other 10! how hot is hot? and is it just that its humid? i almost said human! i went to the pool, it was refreshing, and splashy! i just don't trust my arm in the ocean yet, range of motion is just awful and painful.
-
Kracker, I wish so much I could give you 10 pounds. Heck, I could give 4 people 10 pounds and still have some to spare. But I know your struggle is just as difficult. I'm sorry your tummy is giving you fits. My daughter has tummy problems and it really is awful for her. It must be so hard to live with that from day to day.
Kathe, I haven't been able to swim in a pool or ocean since having NF. I've been too paranoid. I really miss swimming. Especially in the ocean. One day I'll get up the nerve to try it again.
-
Kath,,,I'll take those 10 pounds from u too
Swimming?????good for U....u go girl

Slo- i am just gonna try to quit feeling sorry for myself, when i think of what's happened to you. And you display a sweet nature, in real life and how you show up here on BCO. i think you are doing pretty good. I would be stark raving mad and frothing at the mouth, seriously unable to leave the house. So i just think you have a healthy response to a world that is fraught with danger! If any one has not read her blog, i seriously admire her, for what she has gone through, but also for her well developed sense of humor, and she knows how to spell! and use punctuation! the woman can write.
and i am starting to think i am not feeling sorry for myself, so much as just getting really angry. that is the main tool i will be using while i am (still) trying to draft an indictment against the previous breast surgeon i had. it may be just the impetus i need. everyone else alright?

Good Evening, Goddesses,
Today was a very happy day for me!! I had an appointment with my MO to review the results of my quarterly scans... "No new activity seen anywhere! There is even a 20% reduction in the size of the new area of activity found on the last set of scans!!" My dear MO was all smiles as was my husband. You all know how I felt! So the switch back to the name-brand Arimidex seems to have done the trick for now.
Thank you so much, sisters! I felt your support all day. It was so special to know that when I came home and posted this message you would celebrate with me!!
{{{{hugs}}}} Virginia
PS I apologize that this is going to be repeated on several feeds. You may end up reading it a couple of times...but it will still be good news. 😃
-
Kathe, I don't think you're feeling sorry for yourself. You've lost confidence in your doctors, and that's a HUGE thing. I'd be questioning things too if I went through what you've been through.
and...You give me too much credit....don't you know I AM stark raving mad??? Although, I haven't noticed any frothing - - YET!!! LOL
-
Awesome news Virginia!!! Doing the happy dance for you!!!
-
vadre, if i was you, i would be telling it over and over again, to any one who would listen: girl at the pharmacy, bag boy, pool attendant, each neighbor, guy walking a dog, telemarketer...you get it! That is great news! your body is doing a good job! welcome to the godesses, and that is a nifty avatar you have there! do you know who the artist is?

Good Morning Goddesses, The sun is finally out in FL. We are heading home to Texas in the morning. It will be good to be home and in my own bed. Have several dr appts coming up in Aug. No worries! Just routine stuff. Hope everyone is having a great day!
-
Hi Shellshine! I really like that name....sounds so beachy!!
It is HOT, HOT today....over 100 degrees. I could probably fry an egg on the front of the car.
Hope your dental appointment goes well Kracker.
Safe travels back home Jo!
-
Thanks Slow! It will be good to sleep in my own bed. It is a scorcher at home - close to 100 degrees but that is okay. I have a pool waiting for me.
-
kathec,
I will admit to blabbing my news at every opportunity. I am quite relieved & excited. I appreciated y'all joining me in my Revelry!
My avatar is an oil painting, 1920, by Richard Edward Miller (1875-1943) American. I have been taking an oil painting class and was looking for paintings that I might mimic. This one grabbed my attention because she reminded me of me! I no longer have long hair, but mine was like that. As it turns out, the name of the piece is "Ms 'V' in green." Which really struck me because my nickname has always been Vee! I figure that she & I are connected. Maybe I am to paint her.
I have been curious about your Avatar as well! Story?
Thank you all for celebrating with me!! Next time I'll bring cupcakes!!

That is a painting i painted from a photograph. i asked my boy friend to take a picture of my back, because we had just finished this huge physical job, and i was feeling quite strong. i wear jeans a lot! and i do like color! so he did, and a couple of years later, i painted it in oils. i have been drawing and painting all my life ever since i can remember, and do sometimes still! i havent for several years now, and i wonder if thats why i feel as if i am losing my sanity. because it is the one thing that really makes me happy, and lets me forget my body and mind, and troubles, and it has always been like that for me. it is one of the reasons i am having such a hard time doing the anti hormonals, because it seems to take away all will and desire to do anything creative. i really have to push my self just to get the normal day to day stuff done. i think it is finally getting a little better, though. i need to change my tag line, because first i was on arimidex, for 6 months, then tamoxifin for about 3- 4 mos, an 8 week break, and now on femara for 4-5 mos. so far it is the best for me i think, with time. still hate it tho. i love that painting! i totally think you should paint it! one of these days i am going to try to paint a picture of ducky's grayson. she posted a wonderful photo of her a while back, that gave me just a little bit of an urge to start painting again. so i hope you do! i hope every one is feeling alright, and ducky, quit it! quit that nasty pill! are you asking your doctor? i just would like to see you feeling better. firekracker, thanks for answering your phone a couple weeks ago, i just wanted to formally thank you for adding a couple inches to my rope, and linda? if you are there, i am thinking of you, and hope you know that we love you.
-
...a slightly bigger version.
-
...and then...
-
every 10 years or so, i like to do a self portrait. this one was 10 years ago. first one with actual wrinkles, included!
-
Checking in, got behind in reading, but am so glad several of you are having good news, sorry about the trials and tribulations of others .... it's a real mixed bag, isn't it? Thinking of you all each day as I run through the list of all the people in my life for whom I am so grateful!
I am hanging in there, my family taking great care of me, still trying to get my act together with the hospice folks, but mostly adjusting well. Have to go get a catheter placed in my belly on Friday to drain fluid so we can drain it every day or two - it is accumulating so quickly I have had to go get it drained almost every week, and this should really help reduce trips and visits and punctures by the radiology folks. Still too tired to paint, but I saw some lovely artwork here a few pages back - any of you who do art or knitting or sewing or anything like that should definitely take a little time for yourself each day for it. I am planning on getting my little paint set out this weekend after getting fluid off - I bet I will be breathing easier after that. Will post something if I get anything done next week.
Lots of hugs to all you gals. Jo, glad you had a change of scenery - makes you appreciate home, doesn't it?
-
Linda! I didn't know you painted! its the best thing ever invented, its so much fun to watch what the paint does! i would love to see some of your paintings, i hope you will share. Is that a painting you have for your avatar, or a photograph? i have always admired it, anyway. i was i was in a deep greeny woods like that, cool and smelling good. i bet firekracker wished she was there, too! slow, it was only 89 degrees, according to my bug, which is supposed to be recording the outside temperature. i think its lying. it feels more like 100, here too. and humid. hope the evening cools off early.
-
