Can Aspirin treat breast cancer?

I started taking a low dose aspirin every other day several months ago. After a lot of reading, it seems like it has potential benefits on a number of fronts: lowering risk of stroke from Tamoxifen; lowering colon cancer risk and lowering breast cancer recurrence.  Reports seem to say the benefits aren't immediate but take a few years.

My MO started me on a daily low dose a few years ago. 

This study is more than 4 years old, and was at that time groundbreaking news. Based on the results at that time, I do 2 regular aspirin daily just before sleep. I am usually hurting from the exercise I do, so helps with that as well. I was not about to wait 10 years for a study to prove the effectiveness of aspirin either way.

Thanks for sharing. Still convinced that the two most important things you can do post active treatment are:

1. Exercise, which I do
2. Aspirin, which I also do
3. The third is maintain a healthy weight, which is what will happen if you do enough of #1.

BTW - I had some quackdoodle recently try to convince me that hundreds of thousands of people die annually from taking aspirin. Sheesh. But I believe this is solid research. - Claire
