Is it hot in here or is it just me?
Nettie, lady you deserve some relief from that pain somehow....and some answers.
Blondie, gotta do what's right for you. I hope the se are letting up.
Waving to everyone....Cami. Chevy, Jwoo, Sas....goodnight everyone.

Hi loves!DD is NOT pregnant. This is a relief, but like I told her we'd figure it out either way. She's 21, I had her when I was 18, little dd is almost 5 and had her when I was 35 LOL.
I'm exhausted ya'll, just plain tired. Being on leave from work and running around to appointments is alot of work, not to mention in this damn heat! I'm having major period cramps the last 2 weeks, like I keep expecting to go to the bathroom and have my period.
I went to a cancer support group at my church Sunday afternoon. I'm still waiting to see the therapist, I've had to reschedule that appointment because of tx. I'm glad I went to the group and I'll go back this Sunday as well.
Little DD's bday is 7/29 (turning 5), her party is 8/2 and I'm stressed out about our lack of funds. My income has been cut in half and I was the one that makes more money.
I'm also still walking around with a drain from my last surgery that was on 6/9!! I go see PS Monday, he said if still draining he will inject something to try and plug it up. It's still going about 50-60 day!
So, I just want to say to everyone that you are such strong and courageous women. We all have a story and that story helps other people, I love how that works. I don't have the words to express it, but I feel for all of us that are struggling. Some of my stuff seems so petty compared to others, but I know we all have to contend with what we've got.
love xx oo
-
Tang, Don't worry about the money. Decorate from the dollar store and play games at her party. I had one party as a child and remember the games the most. No idea what my presents were. Still, I do understand how it is to have income cut way back.

Thanks Wrenn -
Hello, my lovely Owlettes.
I am finding that this traumatic head injury/Post Concussion thing has improved my mood considerably.
Still have some back pain, but even that's getting better since I sleep around 10 - 12 hours a night and nap in the afternoons. (Sorry, just remembered that this was the Insomniacs thread.)
Not falling any more, but not real steady on my feet.
I have no idea what day or date it is, but DH and I always sync our calendars so he lets me know if there is any reason to set my alarm. (NO)
I can be chatty on the phone, then I slip a gear and forget a word or train of thought. Nothing new for me...
I seem to have forgotten all the things I was worried or anxious or mad about, so I guess that's why my mood has improved! If I do get snarky, I'll forget why in a short while. Oh look, a squirrel!
Still praying for y'all in tough situations out there, and sending massive huggage!

Morning gals.... I just gotta go back a second
here... I just kept hearing about you guys talking about goats and peeing on
their beards... and I thought, oh well.... whatever....But then the subject came up aGAIN, and I thought
they MUST be onto something there, and so Google Images DID have that very
happening!Man, I learn all kinds of stuff here!
I will write that down for future
reference...Ha!And Cammi, I know you said something there, but
what is even better, is I understand everything you said! You are just a
whiz-kid! Or else I am!!!!I do my own hair too! I color it, and cut it, and
roll it in hot-rollers every morning.... Needs a color job as we speak! It's
so easy, and a lot cheaper. That's why I started it in the first place, since I
was 21.We didn't have any spare money... so I did most
everything myself.Hi Blondie... so glad your friends and kids are
onboard with you.... it really makes a difference...You know, I would do the same thing, in your
shoes.... and nobody gives us an expiration date....! We take what we get every
morning, and hope for a lot more... and if you have to be miserable in the mean
time, it just isn't worth it!All that matters is .... if you are happy, and
feeling alright and not going through hell, like you have
been.Smarty! THAT is ricockulous, as Cammi would
say! I think that is also one of the reasons that the USPS is in so much
trouble, because of the prices they charge for shipping, AND the Internet with
email, etc!It would be cheaper to box that thing up and buy
it a plane ticket, and send it that way!....
maybe....Nettie.... I don't think I do either, so it's
okay... Do you guys with the "box" thing, mean like what I am doing now? I am
typing like to send an email, but reading what you say, and answering , and when
I am finished, just highlight, copy and paste this, and put it at the bottom of
the thread?Nettie! Did you read what Enerva talked about? I
mean about the Trekking poles? I walk with a cane, and use the same method of
walking, and it really works better than using the cane with each step! Did you
watch that video? And I would, and DID take 2 Aleve, before walking
that far!Susan, I watched a Judge Judy yesterday afternoon,
and that one "older" gal had the brightest purple hair you ever saw! DAMN she
looked silly! I mean my SIL is 65 I think, and HER hair is colored a bright
red! Man, it's like she "GLOWS"...! But whatever! If I start looking silly
like that, I hope you guys TELL me about it!LittleDutch.... YES it's hot here! Is 98 hot to
anybody? Gotta stay in where it is air-conditioned! We drove up to Echo Lake
yesterday, and it was probably about 20 degrees cooler up there... It's on the
way up to Mt. Evans, and it's just heavenly up there! Just can't be outdoors
in the middle of the day.Good Morning Tang! I'm glad she is not
pregnant... and I KNOW you 'de find a way but this just makes it easier... So
sorry about your drain stuff going on!I feel the same way posting here with all you
gals! We ARE all strong...!Oh Wren, great idea! The Dollar store is so fun!
Little kids don't care what something costs! I see lots of young Mom's shopping
in there for their parties!Blessings! You sound good! and FUNNY, Ha! Still
have your sense of humor! It's okay.... Cammi and I are on the same wave
length you are...When I was younger.... about 100 years ago, they
dropped me on my head. (The acrobat teachers) I had a severe brain concussion,
with temporary amnesia.... No skull fracture, but I still cannot remember
anything after that.... Just little snippets of all my school years....But after I grew up, and graduated, my head slowly
started "working" again... I don't know what that is called.... could never
find anything that described it... but everything is fine now.... that's all
that counts....Just live for today.... I found that
squirrel!Love you guys!

You KNOW, I could go back and take out all the exclamation points, but I am having coffee right now, and I'll just leave them out the next time.......... no exclamation point.
-
wow. So much going on.
Blondie. The choice is only yours but I have to agree I think I would do the same. What a very tough decision. So very glad your family is on board. Wishing I could hold your hand right now. ((Hugs ))
SAS - you blow me away. Hats off to you. How very lucky of us to have "met" you.
Chevy. Have you heard anything about your neighbors move ? Hope she is settling in. Should be lots of hobby activities going on. I bet she will rule the court ! Seriously how very sweet of you to be do kind to her. No wonder we love you.
Cami - so your little Joey is actually 10 huh. Oh that is a sweet age. My youngest ds is 10. Still has little boy fingers and full of snuggles and love but big enough to do all kinds of fun stuff with them.
I got my rfa done yesterday. Was awake all night in excruciating pain :-(. Let time I remember I actually felt worse for nearly a week then bam. No pain. So keeping my fingers crossed this will do the same. Call in to my mo to see if I can increase pain meds for today. Hoping they don't wait Til 4 to call me back. Too nervous to increase if in my own. Last thing I need is a drug overdose esp with my children at home. So I'll wait on mo call back.
Lots of other people have so much going on but I can't remember anything else. So hugs to all.
Hootie hoo
-
Just catching up and can I just say that I "repeat" what has been said without actually repeating! However, I did want to ask Chevy why she was "talking" so loud? LOL!! That's what it's called here when someone makes there type BOLD! It means they are either talking really loud or screaming! LOLI've got to go back up and find my "box" and give Sas some more answers! I'm not sure I know how to thank her enough for helping with this!!
And just as a side note, I know we are all aware and it has been said many times here, but none of us have an expiration date stamped so we must live each day to its fullest! I was just reminded again of this yesterday, I dear friend, 62, died from a massive heart attack! No pre warning signs!!
-
Oh I'm so mixed up, I was reading trying to absorb everything, then what my Big D came, so I left here, came back started rereading and I still forgot everything==I hate forgetting. Chit
I do know Blondie we all know u made the right decision for u. Shock and Awe them all.
Luv I was here yesterday, but maybe in the morning oh not I do remember Sas and all she was saying, not understanding but Nettie seemed to so that's all that counts.
AWW Chevy I know u miss u'r neighbor, this is an adjustment for u too.
Our weather has changed yet again, it got on the cool side again.
OK I feel my chills and fever coming so I'm going to close for now
BBL

not so sunny but still nice by the lake
-
Peppermint.... I called yesterday morning, but the gal said she hadn't met her yet, but would tell her hello from me.... I will call her SIL today.... I saw her moving a lot of stuff our of their house yesterday.... geez, it's just lonely around here... thanks!
Okay, what is rfa? As soon as I sign off, I'll probably "get" it.... but so far, I don't know....... Sorry you are in so much pain....Dang!
-
radio
Frequency
Ablation
My pain doc wants to do it, when I'm dead he can. Not now
-
I gotta look that up..... thanks Spookie!
-
Spookie I wish I get that offered to me next year. If I don't feel better after my exchange next month. I heard that is the way to eliminate this crap mastectomy pain. There is a tread where a lady explain how it's working for her. If my exchange does not help with my pain then I will ask for this new radio frequency ablation
something tells me I won't have access to it here in Canada.
-
Sas, maybe you could explain this to me...It's something I just read on my path report!"No definite lymphovascular invasion identified." What does that mean "no definite"? Does that mean there was a possibility??
Help if you can! Thanks!
-
Happy Wednesday to all,
Well, the smarter than you think, is debatable.....he he....talking about my self...
-
Nettie ask the doc. If he used the word as a qualifier or simply as a connecting word, only the doc can know. I'm going back to our boxes. on the previous page. Did you do your homework?
-
Afternoon everyone. Gotta quite staying up til 1245 am. Makes the day start way too late. But I'm a nightowl by inclination so it's a hard habit to break once I get in it. Have to stop by tomorrow night. DH's doc appt. is 1015 meaning we leave here at 915, that is if I want to go get my overdue tetanus shot. Prob. a good thing with the stuff we have around here to get hurt on.
Wren - I agree with Dollar Store/Dollar Tree decorations, maybe one special from a party store. Pizza, dressed up lemonade, dessert. Games.
Tang - what kind of party does your DD want? Ye ole' internet is the gateway to whatever. I used to have to do BD parties out of a book but I did a fun jungle party once. Limit the # of guests - with a summer BD it's sometimes harder to get enough guests. DD's is mid July.
OK I've seen this on local and national news today. Do not open the link if you are bug squeamish.
-
Sas, this was on the path report, so I'm not able to talk to the doctor that dictated that!!
Yes, I think I did my homework!
when I read that, it just scared the crap out of me, because I read that to mean that the cells could be in my blood stream!!
-
Hello Shellshine hows Hawaii? Hospice wear you out yet? DS?DH? Any playtime?
Chevy did you think your double posting wouldn't be noticed ? Did you twitch? There there (pat on back and a warm beverage) you will feel better each day about your neighbor.
Enerva loved the videos' on the nordic walking especially the gal that invented the pole. When I made the statement about what a great thing cross country skiing was that was from eons ago. Now there is such a huge following for nordic walking. Did you notice the gal in the second video had poles with straps when the first gal identified that they were the leading cause of injury to the nordic walker? LOved that the first gal talked about Evidence Based Research studies, that means there is science behind what they are doing
cool.
LMG--it's HOT here usually I'm okay with it. But not today. OH remeber having to walk on those dead bugs at camp. UGh, city girls aren't used to that. The counselors used to just laugh at us
Susan, LOL yeah LOL
-
Nettie back to the box page 523
-
thanks Patty etal....
tang no worries what wren saidjacki take care of yourself, rest...
thanks Chevy appreciate it....
i can't sleep and am wondering if it is the percocet, it didn't do that before but I seem to wake up after taking it and up til 430....wth
. have a question for all you cat people I have a female almost a year old and want to get another one, should i get a male or female?
-
Blondie sometimes I take my pain meds and they almost give me an upper feeling, then I crash ???? My DD had 2 cats but both were fixed and both females. But I really don't know, but the got along wonderfully. Our dog is a male and my cat is female and she very bossy with this big dog and he listens????
Nettie u are brave --as all of u--I have never once read anything on my reports, when they told me not to worry I didn't , when they told me things didn't look so good I told them to worry--I know everyone else reads and gets involved and u should I realize that, but I said I'm a coward so I just ignore all of that.
-
Enerva, it's not new here, docs been after me for years to do it. He wants to do my lower spine, never heard of it elsewhere. They don't sedate you, but you do need a driver. And it hurts like hell. No thanks. When I crawl into the orthos office, we'll do the fusions. Nothing before
-
TangaRangastormyevening - Hope you are hunkered down. We've just got the blow off from the cloud tops already but don't think we will get anything, too far west. I have the Channel 8 radar open in another tab. There is some stuff dropping due south out of OK but I think it'll go too far west. We're stuck in the middle.
I can't believe you still have the drain. When is the PS visit? Hope (fingers crossed) he has some other plan. Geesh. I think I'd use it for a noose for him.
-
Nettie, I'm sure your docs took all into consideration in planning your treatment, but always ask questions if you are not sure. What a stressful day, after rads, I took my 99 year old mom to the dentist. He said she needs a tooth pulled but because of heart issues, I had to take her to an oral surgeon. They were good enough to squeeze us in right away, but warned us we would have to wait. I got lost on the way and then she complained the whole time, because she has 0 patience. I was so tired, but could not reach my husband for back up. To top it all off I started with this itch and wanted to get home to put my aloe on. When I finally got home I found some little bumps, like bug bites. Has anyone else had something like this? Thought I was doing so well, today was only my 12th. treatment, so it seems soon. Thanks for listening ladies, and I wish you all the best, having real issues with all of the names right now, as I am beyond stressed, sorry. Stephanie
-
Luv....that link you posted is about where I live. You can see the newly hatched mayflies on radar. They are attracted to light and are the cause of a few traffic accidents. There will be piled several inches deep on the road. When I arrived at work on Monday, there were quite inthe entrances. They cleaned them up quickly. It would not be a good time to be camping as your tent (and everything else) would be covered with them.
-
Dutchy - you live up Wisconsin way? I heard one report that the goo from the mayflies on the road caused traffic accidents. Yuck and more yuck. But they are very happy with them, says indicators that the river waters are getting cleaner.
Oh yes we have the crickets that go for the light. We are having major invasion of grasshoppers. Never knew they came in so many varieties. But we don't have to snow plow them up.
PTL the scorpion invasion has stopped. DH sprayed some whopper bug killer juice.
We may yet get some rain. Beginning to fill in some but loosing rapidly the daytime heating effect.
Stephanie - just make sure RO's nurse or RO in person sees the bumps tomorrow. They may need to intensify the cream/lotion regimen. Can't remember if you had RO that dictated what you used or not. Mine did - prescrip. cream that I've completely forgotten name of and Aquaphor. I hated the Aquaphor but it did work. I wore camis over my bras and nothing stained. I was working as a nurse and my scrubs were perfect as were the bras. BUT make sure they see bumps tomorrow. Doubt - almost certain - won't change your treatment course. Just what you are applying. There are a ton of creams out there, most some kind of mail order. I found non locally when I looked (Ft. Worth area) but used California Baby Calendula cream (from Target) after treatment. Love that stuff still. Sprouts or Whole Foods kinda store might have something. You can google creams for radiation burns and get all kinds of choices. RO might even have some samples to try - I know mine did.
Hope you got your mom settled. Sounds like a bugger bear of a day. (((HUGZ)))
