Fingernails very sore-is there anything that will help?

I have just finished 4 A/C treatments and started Taxol yesterday. My fingernails are very sore and I know this was to be expected, but is there anything that I can do to ease the pain?

    You'll need to check w/ your doctor to make sure your blood counts (platelets) are okay, I have the same painful and annoying symptom and find that motrin does help take the edge off.  I experienced this sx after my 3rd round of chemo T/C and they were super sensitive...it has lessened after 2 weeks, but flares at times and now I'm heading into my next treatment already.  I'd love to hear if anyone else has any other advice.  Good luck!
