Silicone vs. saline implants?

I have an silicone implant I cannot feel or see the implant externally.  My friend has saline implant's (just  implant's behind regular breast's) and she can see and feel the edges in some position's). One advantage of the saline they can make  a lot smaller incisions, I think my friend was only and inch or two. My incision is three or four inch's, but it didn't really matter for me has I had the incision there already from the mastectomy and they just reused the same scar. One of the cons with the silicone is that is hard to tell if you have and leak and you should have an MRI to check for leaks every couple years. And with saline it would just deflate. I am happy with the silicone.

Well. I had saline implants when I was diagnosed, and I was comtiplating changing to silicone before the breast cancer diagnosis because the saline implants were so uncomfortable.  I would hear gurgling sometimes.  I could not sleep without a bra.  They just hurt.  My saline was change to silicone during my partial mastectomy, and I love them. They feel so natural.  I don't feel like I have two softballs on my chest filled with water making draining sounds every now and then.  The silicone is more expensive and there is a reason for that. I would recommend silicone.  You would be much happier.  Good luck and God bless.
