Dear Linda..........as I promised.....love you girlfriend
-
Hey Linda, good to hear from you. Hospice must've been a hard decision but I find comfort knowing that you're at peace, and that you feel the loving arms of G-d and all of us here.
I would join you in a glass of fine single-malt scotch but I've never developed a taste for it. Make mine J&B (yes I am a plebe LOL).
Making mini-cheesecakes today with raspberries from my friend's garden. Meatloaf for supper, then a bluegrass concert tonight in city park. ♥ to all
-
linda, It is so good to hear from you!!
I'm sorry you've been in and out of the hospital so much.
Sending you thoughts of love, comfort and peace.
I pray daily for you and I'm glad to hear you've got your family surrounding you.
I'll be joining you for a drink by the fire.
Love & gentle hugs,
Beppy

-
yes, Kath....I thought it was too...........
-
Linda,
You are one of the sweetest persons whose posts I have been following for a long time. I'm holding you in my thoughts and wishing you peace and comfort. Love and hugs.
-
Linda I had a drink for you last night. Our dear neighbours who we always refer to as the boys invited us over for to help eat up some wonderful left overs from Sunday as the thought they would be eating it for days. We were chatting and whiskey came up and Ken said oh I have the glen brothers uncle ( that Glenmorangie, Glenturret, Glenfiddich)and produced a bottle of Aberlour, So after dinner I had a wee dram especially for you.
-
ducky, are you doing okay? do i need to start worrying about you again??
-
Kath......wish I could say I'm great........very down, just so tired of the SE's of this damn medicine.........I so want to stop, but all I think of is......if I do, and I get a recurrence who knows where it will come.........maybe the aches and pains I have now will be nothing compared to what could come with recurrence..........we're damned if we do, damned i we don't............just tired of it all.............but I'm sure this too will pass.
Thanks for thinking and caring about me.......everyone here says "snap out of it"......."get over it"......I just wish it was that easy.........do they really think we want to feel this way...........oh well shit happens...
your a great friend......
-
ducky, i am pretty sure it wont come back. your grade and stage is so low, its highly improbable. i would stop, if i were you. i would take my chances, cause, thing is, if it DID come back, THEN you can go back on them. many women recur even with them... if i had the kind you had, i would say, ENOUGH!! are you getting any exercise? i know when you hurt, you don't want to, but even a walk is a very good thing. i'm sorry you don't feel good, it does suck, doesn't it?
-
I hope she listens to u Kath
She doesn't hear me
And how is sweet Kath doin???????
-
Kath....the walking is hard because of the neuropathy...........and it drives me nuts......at first I thought.....oh boy.....feet problems..........maybe its "diabetes", cause I know that an happen with foot problems..........was time for the usual blood work, and they did an A1c, and I am ok.....I am pre-diabetic, but not diabetic, but the Dr. said "so many people are pre-diabetic"................and nothing every develops into anything serious..........so looks like it is the Letrozole causing the problem.......it is very depressing......
Now if I would ok taking "pain killers" I would probably not have the discomfort I have, but I will not take anymore drugs......
Now the other thing they found is my TSH is 3.5 which some Thyroid specialists think requires medicine to get your TSH down below 3..............the symptoms of Thyroid problems are very similar to that of the Letrozole SE's....aches, pain, mood swings, depression, fatigue....so I am making an appt with a specialist to find out......
But your right Kath.....I even spoke with an oncology nurse at the National Institute of Health , and she gave me the "stats" for someone with my numbers and said I should at least take a vacation, if I feel better....try another AI, and if the same thing happens.....stop completely........I will talk to my MO when I go back.............The feet thing is a new SE since about 3 months ago.........
And yes Kracker is trying to get me to stop.....and she is right.........

For our Linda

Hi Goddesses - Finally have internet again and wanted to check in. Too many pages behind to catch up.
We are in Pigeon Forge, TN and are having a great time. Tomorrow - Dollywood - here we come. Weather is very nice and we don't need the air conditioning. All the windows are open.
Once I get home, I will post pictures to my facebook page. I need to take pictures of the campground we are in now. It is really nice.
Hope to be home in about 10 days. We have had a great time so far but I am looking forward to going home.
-
Ducky - have you tried acupuncture? It helps somewhat with the pain and stiffness, not a lot, but any little bit is a good thing as far as I'm concerned!! I also get massages every other week (when I'm really bad, I go every week) and that helps, too. Also, I am doing a detox tomorrow. I had one a few weeks ago the same day that my prescription changed from one generic to another. I was pain free for almost 2 weeks. I credited the freedom from pain on the prescription change, but since it's now back full force, I'm hoping it was the detox instead.
Anyway, if it helps, I'll let you know.

i had the nicest thing happen today. Beppy came to my appointment with me today! She is just as terrific in real life, as she shows up on here!! And it was no small effort for her to make it, that is a verrry long drive! i am so glad i met her, it is like we had already known each other, and just re-met. does that happen at all bco meetings? i don't know, but felt blessed to meet her. and we had lunch! but it was a funny thing, when she went t exam room with me, then THEY had to bring more of THEM in! i think they think they must always out number us. and then i had a melt down. yep, i cried. cause no-one really knows why the nodes get bigger and painful on some women, they just do. cause those nodes are "taking up the job" of the ones they removed. but. Beppy had NONE remooved, and the same thing is happening to her. and and and.... i wished we all lived closer...
-
so do I
Imagine if we all lived in a big community and we would all be right next door to each other
Yes Kath when we meet face to face u form a very special bond
Where would everyone want to live??????
I can dream right!!!!!!
Sending u a big smooch...Kath.xoxo
-
xoxoxox, to you right back!
-
GG......thanks for the info....I love acupuncture...had it for my back and it worked.....I want to get "full body" done..I heard that is great........what did you detox with......share please......anything I can find out about makes me happy.
Kath.....I love Beppy....she is just one super lady.......(like you)........I so wish we lived right on the same street.....and yes.....I love Kracker, Joan, and Blondie......met with them, and got in my car and cried all the way home..............we need each other so much.....only we understand......hugs sweetie...
Have to tell Beppy and GG about our party..........I think Kracker will be getting in touch........if not..........Beppy and GG.........you heard it here...........BIG PARTY.........hugs....
