WE HAVE BEEN BLESSED! WE HAVE BEEN SAD! BUT WE WON'T STOP NOW!
The fire is burning reflecting on the faces of our sisters, wood stacked to the side for the night, coffee and water for the hot chocolate is on, voices are getting softer and some are down for the night. The night owls are already on watch and the cool night air feels so good. Not sure where the cowboy is at the moment but some of these gals can sure keep you laughing. The joy and comfort of these sisters brings tears to my eyes.
Lord, we lift our friends who are facing this mountain and have a steep climb to the top. We are all hurting for them and as we share in their fears we are also realizing some of our own. Bless them, heal them, give them strength for the days ahead, may they feel only the peace and comfort you can give and may they know their friend is holding their hand in the darkness and lonliness of the night. May tomorrow bring hope. May they feel the love of the many sisters who too will walk to the top of the mountain with them.
Rest well, sisters. We have wraped you in love and prayers.

In case Peggy doesn't get here for awhile with a fire, here's a small one, with some chairs for your comfort, a little lamplight and by the water...it's calming. -
I, love ALL of you, and i thank you from the bottom of my heart for WATCHING OVER ME, AND OUR SISTERS, debbyfive

Buffalo Girls--
Please see my post under "waiting for test results"---"yikes! Help!" I thought I was scared LAST year!
As an aside---can't imaging how anything on this thread could possibly be construed as hostile or scarey---if I don't read anything else I read this thread every day. The guys with the white hats hang out here.
Jean -
jean I will go see what is up with you in waiting for test results...
but for now, all of my sisters in this circle will surround you and protect you, distract you and make you laugh, feed you well and help you through the night.
yes, this beautiful circle is seen as enemy territory to some. I say to those who view it as that:
Come on over, pull up a sleeping bag... we have fried chicken tonight and corn fritters... sing a couple of songs with us and play some poker.. laugh... get to KNOW US..
we are you
you are us
we are all in this together
the circle is for the sisterhood- no one is excluded.
the circle is lightness and love-
no negativity allowed
fear is banned
anger is vanquished
jealousy is unheard of
we are all in this together
we are women with breast cancer- there is no such thing as us vs them.
It is just us. your sisters.
Tomorrow we are moving our campsite to higher ground because of some bad weather coming. Everybody better get an early night because we are going to be hitting the road early:
On the road again
Just can't wait to get on the road again
The life I love is makin' music with my friends
And I can't wait to get on the road again
On the road again
Goin' places that I've never been
Seein' things that I may never see again,
And I can't wait to get on the road again.
On the road again
Like a band of gypsies we go down the highway
We're the best of friends
Insisting that the world be turnin' our way
And our way
Is on the road again
Just can't wait to get on the road again
The life I love is makin' music with my friends
And I can't wait to get on the road again
On the road again
Like a band of gypsies we go down the highway
We're the best of friends
Insisting that the world be turnin' our way
And our way
Is on the road again
Just can't wait to get on the road again
The life I love is makin' music with my friends
And I can't wait to get on the road again
And I can't wait to get on the road again -
sorry to be so late getting back to the wagons and campfire - been out looking for more sisters to help keep watch over our sisters/friends, for whom this wagontrain was created. i looked in so many places, high and low. then it dawned on me - all those we need, are right here on the boards. all those who have experienced the fear, when dx. all those who know what we all go thru and endure, in order to survive and go on with our lives. plus those who are no longer on this earth in body but who are still alive, in our hearts and memories - they are all here with us, watching over those in need and cheering us all towards a better life and the happiness it has to offer us.
as for the other sisters/friends that are here - that care, support and love us - just look into your hearts and you will know who they are. those who don't care, they won't ever get into our inner circle - they don't know the special handshake - so don't worry about them. just concetrate on positive thoughts and why we are here. may all the love that is present here, heal and lift up us all, to a better place.
I may not know all of your names or faces but you are in my heart and prayers.
love,
niki -
Niki, that was beautiful!
Love,
JoJo -
Jean, NS, Debbyfive, trixiegramm chemosabi...so glad to see you here...I will not leave. I will keep all our hurting, needing sisters in my thoughts and prayers day and night no matter what. We are a force to be reckoned with, we will keep everyone safe.
Now...when is dinner and I brought a deck of cards for poker.
Hugs
Vickie -
can ya'll move my gear to higher ground for me?
i'm not a "morning person" lol! -
I'm a morning person so I'll move your gear!!! Ummm...I don't know about your toenail collection though...
Looks like Jean needs to be part of our center circle for B9 results!
Where exactly are we moving too...don't want to get lost in the woods. -
Cant talk much. Spending time with husband. Will be here in the morning thought.
Nicki -
Uh oh, Shel. I smell trouble brewing. I'm a morning person, not a night owl. What are we going to do??
Hi Jean, holding my hand out to welcome you. -
Hi Lini...I can be a morning person with you...I'm not a night owl either even though I go to bed and do nothing but toss and turn, have hot flashes, have to get up at least twice to pee, etc.
-
not another catfight????????
geuss i'll hop into my sleeping bag right now so i can maybe, possibly, hopefully wake up on the "right side" of my wagon!!!!!
DON'T hold your breath though! -
Have my german shepherd circling our wagons, curling up with my little guy to watch a movie and hope to sleep...saying prayers for all our girls.
See you in the morning ladies.
Hugs
Vickie -
Can we watch "Weeds" tonight? Did anybody bring a tv and dvr. That show is hilarious. You guys need to catch it. Too funny!
-
I'll watch...have the tv and the dvr...will probably have to tape it though...chemo brain and radiation exhaustion will probably get me.
-
Thanks for the encouraging words everyone. I think of myself as strong after some of the bull pucky I've lived through but this whole CA thing can certainly unnerve a girl. Fried chicken sounds great but can we have chocolate slabs with chocolate sauce and chocolate mousse with chocolate ganache for dessert? I'd have a martini too but they have been giving me headaches lately and that's what got me into this mess in the first place!
You guys are the best! Will know when I have an appointment with the eye surgeon sometime tomorrow a.m. Talk about a sharp stick in the eye!
Vickie---what kind of poker? I'm lousy at all varieties---believe me, you don't want to play strip poker with me. Nobody deserves that! Except for my right boob---the Lone Ranger is gorgeous, thanks to Dr. DeB. What did you decide about that?
As for the general store (mentioned over in "waiting")---do they have jewelry?
See? You are all helping with my positive outlook already. -
Hi Silvergirl...don't know how to play poker at all but I figured with all the handsome cowboys we have hanging around here someone would be happy to teach us!?! I DON'T think they'd want to play strip poker with me though...they'd be running for the hills and leaving us to fend for ourselves.
-
Silvergirl...your in Syracuse...I'm near Ithaca. Flying out of Syracuse Airport to Florida on September 9th! Are you going to the state fair?
-
Oh yes lots of jewlery and we will shop till we drop !
hugs,
Carrie -
jewlery? Seriously?
-
THARES GOLD IN THEM THARE HILLS !
-
My sister says I am either part crow or have a little stripper in my soul (there I go with the stripping again)---just love those sparklies! A little overdressed for a wagon train but what the heck---I'm among friends!
Vivkie--I pm'd you. -
So, Lini? Where's the Cuervo? It's for medicinal purposes...I feel wretched and want to make an ass out of myself...that's tonight's entertainment...me: just add alcohol...
And poker? Only if the last card is down and dirty...
I ain't leaving this circle. Other places, yes. Not here, no way...put another log on the fire; it's gonna be a long night...Mena...xo -
Hi Mena,
so glad you are still around. tried to pm you. Go get the alcohol. I'll laugh. I feel like tying one on myself tonight.
What a night. I was so discouraged earlier. Glad I came back and glad I found all of you here.
Silvergirl, I'll go check your thread on test results. An eye doctor, huh?
trixiegram, love the angels.
Susan -
Amy,
I'm sorry you are having a rough time! It seemed that I would have trouble with the stuff that no one else had trouble with and visa versa. I really hope it gets easier.
Always in my heart girls,
Denise -
ummmmmmm girls?
wagon circling is taboo here.
perhaps we should "posse up" in pm's?
