Wish I joined sooner
Sometimes it's better late than never. I didn't find breastcancer.org until after my surgery and then I thought (mistakenly) that I wouldn't really need to connect for a grade 1; stage 1 diagnosis.
So, I've lurked here for quite some time and have learned so much. I now realize that surgery and radiation isn't the end of problems and concerns. Seromas, scar tissue, drug side effects and emotional coping have made it a challenge to move on after the initial treatment. But the wealth of information and caring I've seen here on the board is a support system I know I need.
I'm looking forward to being part of the discussions and hope at some point that I can be a help to others.

Welcome to BCO stage 1 sister! Glad you found us. I found the emotional side of this stuff the most challenging. There is always someone here who has been there ahead of us. This really is an awesome community. I look forward to seeing you around!

Appreciate the welcome.
One technical question. I answered the diagnosis and treatment questions and clicked on the tab to make them public; so I'm not sure why the information isn't appearing at the bottom of my post. Guess I'm not quite as tech savvy as I thought I was. Any simple answer or should I contact the mods?

Manu it's perfectly normal not to see your stats on a post you started. You'll notice it showed with your reply!
Welcome to BCO. I have found a wealth of info and just plain ole nice people. Like you I wish I'd found them sooner!

Manu14, Welcome to BCO as an active member. We have unknown numbers of lurkers (readers not joined) as many people just need the information but don't want to join for a range of personal reasons. That is fine as we are still providing a valuable service educational to them and that is one of BCOs primary focuses.
You will be able to obtain valuable feedback on your own concerns now you are a member of the community. You will find excellent responses to questions and sisters with similar problems and interests that you can chat with in the safety of this forum.
Your Dx shows with your subsequent posts but not with the Thread opening post..
You can also add any information that the Dx section doesn't cover with text in your "Signature", if you'd like.
The Dx section is structured to deliver relevant posts to people if the select that option, so that is why it has limited flexibility.
You are welcome to contact the Moderators for any questions or assistance and we'll help as best we can.
All the best, The Mods

Welcome M anu! Just because you are Stage 1 does not mean things go smoothly! As you can see from my signature sometimes there are Scenic Detours On your journey. Hoping you find the support you need here.
