Healing circle
I would like to invite you to join my healing circle for my thyroid surgery on July 10 at 10am--- it would be great if you could think positive and powerful thoughts for me during that time...
It is all going to be fine, but I like the idea of good healing thoughts coming my way.....
thanks so much

Easy Peasy, Mom! You got this!

Thanks all--- I am anxious, but also anxious to be done....
I think the hardest part is getting myself to understand that this is just one thing-- a little thing on my thyroid--does not mean I will have another dx-- does not mean anything else is wrong--- the pulmonologist has already said the lung nodule is almost certainly nothing....
But I have twinges in my abdomen today-- and I start to go down that road (and I know YOU know the road).....
I see myself as so healthy and I never really looked back after bc..... please tell me, those of you who have been through both of these, that I will come out ok on the other side???? need to really hear that today.....
thanks so much

Dear Momand2kids:
There are studies that show that people who know others are praying for them actually do better. So consider yourself prayed for

I know how scary all those dark thoughts can be but my father, who survived 21 years after a leukemia dx that he was told was hopeless, taught me some good ways to think:
-You are not a statistic. Each case is unique and has many factors that impact it. You are unique.
-Don't compare yourself to other cases. You are not them.
-Keep your eye on the prize. You need to be strong and healthy for those two kids.
I developed my own coping methods also. I have a certain prayer that has special meaning to me for private reasons and I say it over and over again, silentlly, while I'm very frightened, such as while undergoing a procedure, etc.
Thinking of you and sending you good positive thoughts and wishes.

momand2kids - Thinking of you. Hoping all went well.

all thanks for your thoughts and prayers. Surgery went well. No nodes involved. Very curable. Still in hospital trying to get levels straight. But in general feeling pretty good. Probably will go home today. Looking forward to some rest.
It never ceases to amaze me how our bodies talk to us. Mine kept not getting well and I think it was trying to get me to pay attention to the thyroid. Last night, the site on my back where I had shingles (which started all of this) started to act up. So stress related. Subsiding but I did call pcp to get meds just in case
Anyway- no more cancer. And that is the gift
Thank you all so much

Mom - I've been thinking about you. So glad to hear that surgery went well I hope that spot on your back settles down and that you can enjoy the rest of the summer!

Rest well!
