8 days post op from lat flap and now major swelling

I had radiation 7 years ago. Just eight days ago I had a double mastectomy with latissimus Dorsi on the radiated side. I still have three drains in. I noticed today that it hurt to put my arm down at my side but didn't think much of it. Well tonight when I took off the mastectomy bra to shower I noticed my left breast ( that had rads and lat flap) has swelled a lot. It is really hard to the touch as well. Also my under arm is swelled and tender.

Has this happened to anyone else? I will call the doctor in the morning but I can't help but worry tonight.

    hi turtle, how is the swelling today?  I just had delayed lat Doris flap on radiated left mastectomy side June 25, and so far so good.  Just saw your post and wanted to check on you.
