Gemzar/Carboplatin

I will be starting 4 cycles of 2 weeks on and 1 week off of Gemzar/ carboplatin this week. My hair is finally starting to look good enough to ditch the hats and wigs. Will I keep my hair through this regimen?

    I just finished my second cycle of Carbo/Gemzar and I have not lost any hair.  I was wondering the same thing.  My MO told me today that I still might lose my hair but it is a good sign that 5 weeks in and no hair loss.

    Any updates ladies?  I will be starting carbo/gem next Tuesday.  I had Taxotere/Cytoxan my first go around in 08 and am really hoping to spare the hair loss this time.  Also, any comparison with your previous treatments?  Easier, harder??

    Thanks for any help you can give me!  Not looking forward to the whole process again.

    I'm almost 4 weeks in now. I haven't lost any hair, it's still growing (slowly). I feel fine, mostly. I get tired if I do too much. My baby white blood cells are low. That's about it.

    Hello!  I am hoping to hear how people are doing on this.  I just had my first one today.  The SEs listed are certainly discomfiting; has anyone experienced vomiting?  I have some Zofran if I need it.  I am so overjoyed to read that you are growing hair and are finding it tolerable, Cenri76.  Your hair looks super cute!  I was on Halaven for two months and lost my cute hair and most of my brows and lashes, so it would be great to have that back.
