...is a challenge for all of us, even our lumpectomy and recon sisters. So when I found this new resource I thought I'd post it here. It was developed for women recovering from gynecologic cancers, but it applies just as well to those of us dealing with a missing breast or two:

Nothing "clinical" here--it's a refreshing read, full of both encouragement and down-to-earth suggestions for ways to work our way back to comfortable intimacy.

Gentle hugs,
Binney

Binney, what a breath of fresh air that is! Now if we could just get that pamphlet into doctors' offices to be handed out to all female cancer patients.

Edited to add: I hope you're posting that in several places.

River Rat, I posted it here and on the lymphedema forum. Please do feel free to post it to other forums as well. All of us need this kind of information, in this calm and kind tone. I agree--something for the docs to have available for every one of us.

    Thanks,
    Binney

Binney, this is great! I think I'll post a link on BreastFree.org. I talk about sexuality a little on the website but not nearly as extensively as this pamphlet. And it has a sense of humor, which is always helpful. :-)

Definitely will be adding a link at StepUp-SpeakOut.org too. This is a really welcome resource. So glad they made the effort to research and write it, then make it available online.
