Bonfire of the Goddesses

GG, I would love to get together! I will keep you updated on our trip.
-
Slow............can't remember how many of those I threatened the kids with...............
-
Ducky, my mother had different sizes. Depending on how much of an attitude adjustment we needed. LOL
-
Slow......I also had a brown plastic spatula.........all I had to do was say "ok, that's it......go in the kitchen, rattle the drawer, and the 6 would knock each other down running for cover.........LOL
-
My Mom used to hit my brother with "the wooden spoon". He was so big though it would break the spoon.....then he would offer to get her a bigger spoon......which in turn would make her laugh hysterically. Just the idea of the spoon would typically keep me in line.
-
I also used the wooden spoon
And
If that didn't work off came the shoe
Then they ran
-
i can see i missed out on having kids!
-
When the string broke and the ball came up missing, my dad would drill holes in this and use it on us. We hated it when that happened. Also you would think us kids would stop buying them but we loved them.
-
hi Kath
Where have u been?
And
How r u?
U remind me of veggy with ur one liners.lol.
-
Good Night Goddesses
-
g'morning goddesses! Jo, we had one of those pop-up campers when I was a kid and it was great. We traveled all over the place. I'd get to bring a friend and so would my brother. He'd get one 'wing', I'd get the other, and M&D slept on the bed that converted from the kitchen table. Good memories! I also used to tent camp but don't want to sleep on the ground anymore either LOL.
I was one of the ladies who got to meet SDB in SoCal and it was a privilege and a pleasure. Beppy, please let me know if/when you come to Wisconsin!
I say we throw those wooden paddles and spoons into the fire! ♥
-
Just another day........
-
badger, the privilege & pleasure was all mine! Did I happen to mention how excited I am that you're all coming back next year??!! I will definitely let you know when/if we get to Wisconsin.
When I was growing up we had an orange Volkswagen pop-up camper. I got to use the top bunk. I adored that bright orange camper. I wish they still made them.
Big hugs to you Ducky!
-
Thanks Slow.....your a good friend.....
-
You are too Ducky!
I'm guessing Jo is probably on her road trip by now? Safe travels Jo!
Has anyone heard from Linda-n3 since she got home from the hospital?
If you're lurking, thinking of you linda. Hope you're doing well and getting plenty of good rest
That was funny Kathe. Really good to see you, as always!!
-
Hello Goddesses - We are all packed and ready to go in the morning. Can't wait to hit the road. I will try and pop in when I have internet access. We will be gone about 3 weeks - could be more - who knows. We are staying a week in TN and I already know there is no internet there but it is close by. I am taking my computer and will have to get internet some - damn bills still have to be paid. Will miss everyone and try to behave while I am gone. LOL!
-
Bon Voyage, Jo! ♥
-

i hope everybody else is behaving themselves? and by that i mean firekracker and Ducky???
I too am starting to get very worried about lindaN3. Beppy, thank you so much for the texts, and the checking up on me. You do some good work of cheering people up, here, and probably in real life, too, i bet!
-
Have a great time Jo!
Kathec, Hopefully it made you smile! FYI... I use the hair pic. you texted as my "inspiration hair!" I can't wait to have as much hair as you!! Maybe one more year to go??
Ducky and Kracker stay out of trouble? Not likely.
-

-
Duke it Out. Can we make wagers on who would win?????
-
Slow...........Fk can't even remember what she is fighting about........LMAO...........
-
When I was a kid in NY, a girl and I met on the corner for a fight after school. All the other kids were there.....I had a habit of biting my upper lip. When we got in our fight I was biting my lip and my tooth went into it and I started to bleed. She was determined to win the fight. We were going to have a rematch and ended up best friends before that could happen. LOL After that we were inseperatable.
Edited to add: LOL Ducky!
