Tightness after breast reconstructive surgery

I had a free flap tissue transfer breast reconstruction surgery about 4 weeks ago. In the last few days I have developed a lot of tightness around the surgical site of the breast area. Is this normal? Does it pass? How do you ease the tightness? I have already started seeing a physical therapist who is in communication with my surgeon. 

Can you recommend any exercises that you may have done after such a surgery to prevent scarring and tightness + to keep mobility?

    I did not have the same procedure as you but for what it is worth, I am working with a physical therapist who specializes in bc patients and that has been great.  It has made my "sore sites" feel so much better and helped with my scars.

    Hope you get some relief soon!
