3 years ago when I was diagnosed, I thought my days were short and I was not going to complete the Masters in Library and Information Science degree I was 1 year in to.  I discussed this with my onc and let him know that I thought it more important that I spend my remaining days with family and friends.  He agreed about the time spent with family & friends, but also that I was going to be around long enough to complete the degree and be able to benefit from it...

It took me twice as long to do the coursework and there were many times that I was in classes with my very bald head (after having had waist-length hair) and bloody nose, etc., but I stuck it out and did it! You are now looking at a newly minted Visual Arts Librarian!!!

So very thankful. And happy to no longer have any homework! ;-)
