Surgery to remove nipples Thursday

never really sure if I "fit" here or in surgery topic....but

I'm having my nipples and areoles removed this Thursday, next week.  I had a nipple sparring bilateral mx. 3years ago.  I am so much more anxious than I remember being before my mx.  I think because I wasn't feeling like I would look all that different.  And I didn't-or don't.  I looked like I just got a augmentation or lift or something. Now I'm trying to deal with a different expectation for the outcome.  Not feeling very good about it.

    PatR - Sorry you have to go through this crap again. I had a skin sparing but not nipple sparing MX two+ years ago. I have 3D nips from Vinnie. If you are interested in something like that check out pinkinkproject.com. There are links there for other tattoo artists who do nipple tattoos.  It does look a little like "Barbie" boobs with no nips. I debated for a while whether to even do the tattoos because braless is pretty awesome. I fought raised nipples for years, and I am thrilled that nothing shows anymore. However I sometimes get chilled and then I tell my husband my nips just went erect in a box somewhere. Makes for a good laugh.

    BTW I have seen someone do areola sparing but not nipple sparing on these boards. My BS said the Areola is just pigmented skin. The young lady who had the areola sparing was going to have nips formed from the pigmented areola later on. Just thought I'd mention that.

    Thanks Lucy.  I've been looking at Vinny's site and his work does look amazing. I'm just wanting to way all of my options..  I don't think I asked enough questions when I saw my PS because I was so shocked. I guess they'll be time for discussion after the surgery.

    I had skin sparing MX.  Then had the CV flap surgery to have nipples.  It was in and out surgery.  In most all cases of reconstructed nipples, they flatten out to almost nothing.  This was fine with me as I didn't have big nipples originally.  Went to Vinnie and he did the Tats.  Looks great and I'm very pleased.
