-
The thread has been very quiet. But I just wanted to "wave" bye to my vain sisters. We're heading to Istanbul in about 2 hours.
-
Yorkiemom: Have a great trip!
-
Thanks TB90! I just hope my sciatica tortured leg holds up! I do think Aromasin has made my condition worse. Oh, well. Fortunately DH is bending over backwards to help me cope.
-
Yorkie, have a wonderful trip!! I LOVED Turkey!!
-
Barbe, I didn't know you have been there. Should have been talking with you long ago! Did you spend much time in Istanbul?
-
We went into the interior from Marmaris Bay (we took a ferry from Rhodes). It was spotless and very updated and we were very impressed by the food and everything. Their bees make honey from pine trees and it is sweeter than ours made from flowers!!! (Lately I've heard that our "honey" doesn't really have much honey in it!) We saw stunning tombs carved into the side of a cliff that just blew us away and castles abandoned as the silt built up in the river and shut down access to towns. The history is wonderful....
I was disappointed to see a McDonalds in the middle of nowhere and at the open market there were Nike runners. Kind of spoiled the fun.
-
Sounds fascinating, except for the McDonalds ugh.
-
Ooooo!! Have a great and safe trip! Can't wait to hear all about it when you get back...
-
Thanks Selena! I'll post pics.
-
have a fabulous time! I have been to both Istanbul and Ankara.
Caryn
-
Thanks Caryn! Wish I were younger and more physically fit. I can't tour like I used to. But I'm sure it will be awesome.
-
Yorkie, you're going to have the best time! Enjoy! We loved it!
I've been missing the vainness of this thread, I'm so glad it's up and running again. Even though I mostly lurk on this site now, this is by far my favorite thread. Thanks for keeping it real and vain! How's this for vain? My birthday present to myself!
-
Yorkiemon, have a great time!
Leah
-
Thanks Leah and Amy (love the purse!!). I plan to keep the vain alive and well while touring the Istanbul malls!
-

-

-
Oooh Yorkie, I have friends who are there right now, been sending me the most fantastic photos!
Have a super time!
Amy! I am bowing to the purse! I love it, what a perfect gift to give to yourself! Happy Birthday to you!
Barbe, you and me, both, addicted to purses and shoes and these days, boobs and foobs for me, too!
-
Barbe, lol! Purse pig! My husband said, "Are you done now?" I gave him the "Are you crazy?!" look!
Ariom, thank you for the birthday wish! It was a really good day. The purse was a great start!
-
Oh, right! Hope you had a happy birthday, Amy!!!
-
"... purse pig..." Absolutely love it. I'm a hard-core "shoe pig" with purse, glove and hat piglets on the side.
Happy Birthday!
I had a LV purse years ago; loved it and wore it right out. I'm into Coach purses now, love the saddle-quality leather.
-
Purses....on my!!!! I walk in a daze in the purse department. I will coin another phrase....Purse Zombie, caused by the smell of fine leather. When the nice ladies ask if I need any help, I come out of my daze for just a moment to tell them that I can't decide. My favorites now are Michael Kors and Makowsky. But ladies, ladies.....I really love them all.
MsP
-
Yep! LOVE them all!!!!! My DH learned YEARS ago to not even begin to question this addiction. He loves jackets and coats, so when I get a new purse he knows he can get a new jacket! He spends more than me so I never feel guilty.
-
Yeah, my honey is a jacket whore. Man fills two closets with jackets.
