6TH Ta Ta's Sisterhood Reunion In Vegas!

I swear to God...this room and this page and this trip keeps me going. I am soooo psyched for this trip. I love travelling to begin with, and hub doesn't, so having a trip in my plans is always a good thing. But ... having gone on this trip last year for the first time and knowing how unbelievably awesome it was...I'm just chomping at the bit here! For newbies, this is coming from someone who went on 4 or 5 other trips with people from the BCO chat rooms. I loved every single one of those trips for various reasons, but this group of women is just something else entirely! If you're lurking on this thread just reading, or have posted and are on the fence about going, I have only one word for you ... G O !!!!
-
I am soooo excited! I booked the air part of my trip a while back because the flight out that I wanted wound up selling out and I didn't want to risk my 2nd choice doing the same. Well, I looked tonight and another flight around that time was added so I switched! Southwest allows you to change with no penalty, just pay the difference in fare if any. This one was a little more, but worth it for the better time slot. This way my hub will be able to take me to the airport on his way to work, and my plane change is in the same city as return flight - I figure that's fate talking to me, right? lol ... I just love everything about planning a trip, I swear to God. This made my night

-
I have put off posting this for a week now but that isn't fair to ya'll.
I will not be going to Vegas this year due to work issues and financial issues. I would be hard pressed to get the time off work and financially I just can't do it this year. Breaks my heart that this will be the first reunion that I will miss.
-
Janice: if you can get the time off, the sofa bed in the condo is all yours! If the other things work out let me know, would love to have you bunk with us. ( my husband is going to be there....but you can ask Jennifer, he is a great chauffeur ).
-
jancie..sorry auto correct changed you to Janice!
-
Oh Jancie - that is horrible news! I hope you are able to work something out to be able to make it after all. Won't be the same without you!
-

I have purchased my plane tickets and am ready to go! Can we just go next weekend? The anticipation is killing me! I had such a wonderful time last year. I'm on board for helping with any organizing that needs to be done too. HUGS SISTERS!
-
Oh no, Jancie. I hope you can make it work. Love your smile!
-
Jancie, I'm so sorry. My buddy, if there is anything I can do to help get you there, just ask. I'd miss you so much if you were not there. You were part of my welcoming committee and made me feel like part of the group.
Any chance you could swing some of the time off?
-
Jancie, pls reconsider. If you get the time off, somehow we can make the rest happen, I just know it.

Hello everyone, this Las Vegas convention sounds like a blast, and just what I need. To relate with good women that knows exactly what I am going through; and is able to put all that aside and have a great time. I would love to attend as a newbie this year; however, I am not done with treatment, having number 4 of 12 Taxol and Herceptin tomorrow, Herceptin every three weeks thereafter for year. Chemo will complete some time in August. In September I will be doing weekly radiation treatment. I don't see how I could swing it. If not this year, most definitely next year. Treatment actually have me grounded. I was just telling my daughter, I feel incarcerated. I live in Gulfport, Ms, but is at my daughter's house in Hayward, Ca, receiving treatment at Palo Alto Medical Foundation. The good thing about it all, I get to spend a lot of quality time with my daughter, and 3 lovely grand- daughters. Can't forget my son-in-law. They all take good care of me, so I probably should stop complaining. I am Blessed! Y'all have a good time for me also.
-
MaDee53: it would be wonderful if everything would fall just right right in your schedule so that you could jump over to Vegas. I was the Newbie last year, and I promise everyone makes you feel right at home. And it is so much fun. Just remember, what happens in Vegas......
-

-
I'll be right with you, Cnemeth... We can balance our checking accounts, clean our hair brushes and watch "Little House on the Prarie " reruns . Now, I'm getting really excited!
-
yeah, just stay in ours rooms and have relaxing fun.....

-
My hairbrush is clean so that will leave me time to whiten my teeth and pluck my nipple hairs. I'm tingling all over with the excitement of it all!!! I have a stack of recipes that I can bring and put in alphabetical order. WooHoo!!!!
-
WooHoo, Cnemeth!!! I've picked out my bunny P.J's with feet, complete with matching hair bows. I've got new nose hair clippers I'm dying to try out and have a basket of holy underwear to darn. Let the good times ROLL!!!!!!!
-
I signed up for stripper lessons and how to give massages with a happy ending...but now I am feeling guilty. Guess I will cancel all of that and bring my microbiology homework so you all can help me. Does that sound like a better idea?
-
heck no!! You can teach us how to strip and we can teach you how to darn and pluck!!!! Women work together!!!!!!
-
Heya traceyz - thank you for all your hard work on the rooms! Is there any update that you know of on the extra person charges? Thanks again!
-
Oooh, hey, there's a group activity for Vegas....stripper lessons! -
Hi, everybody! We will have an extra bedroom at the condo. I can't find the post for who was looking for a room. My husband will be with me...so they might not want that. Jennifer could give him a reference "letter" . I promise he wouldn't make anyone feel ill at ease and is an excellent taxi driver. And of course no charge. Two people could be in the room. We would be glad to be hospitable to someone.
-
You are so sweet, Beat.
-
wow! Just caught up. Thank god it was only 3 pages of reading.. This year my oldest sister will be joining me.. I have been asking her for years and since this is my 5th year cancer free she promised me she would come... Trip is booked and I cannot wait to see you all... {{{{hugs}}}} Jennifer
