lung nodules, thyroid nodules--help!!!!

Hi

having a thyroid biopsy on Thursday--just back from the pulmonologist who saw a 7mm nodule on my lung--scheduled PET for 6/3--I am freaked out--- I am so afraid that other things will light up on PET---- anyone have any experience with this or nodules??? any and all advice is welcome!

    Use the SEARCH feature here and you will find several lung nodule topics.  I had a lung nodule found during my pre-op chest X-ray and a PET was ordered - it light up there too.  They were able to do a lung biopsy (needle under my shoulder blade through my back) and confirmed fibroid or fibroma (can't recall exact wording).  I had a long hx of respiratory illness of allergies and bronchitis and was told this is common left over debris.

    thanks-makes me feel better--- going to focus on the thyroid this week-delay the PET and get a second opinion on the Lung CT before I head down this road….

    I had the same as cp, above, nodule found on xray, when I was in Hospital with Asthma attack some years ago. They called it possible debris from previous infections. I had it watched and scanned for 2 years and it didn't change. I was expecting it to be noticed when I had the pre-op xrays before my surgery, but it wasn't visible any more.
