Power walked 5.3 miles, what a nice evening! Shorts here too, and a lime-green Lands' End tee decorated with liquid awesome.

Now on to finish the sauce for a tart cherry cheesecake! ♥
-
Love the dress!!!!
Headed out for another 8km run/walk after work today....which turned into much more of a walk than a combination thing....just pooped tonight, so will listen to the body and put the feet up and rest. Tomorrow is another day.
-
Did Zumba tonight & then went out to dinner and a movie.
I live in a crazy climate. I turned off the furnace Friday & turned on the air conditioner today....which means we had 4 days of spring this year!
-
About an hour of hooping, and moved a bunch of rocks from one part of the yard to another. They're really pretty rocks, speckled granite I think, a bit bigger than a softball. There are 20 or 30 of them. I need to dig up the weedy patch they were in and do something artistic with them. Disturbed several spiders including a black widow.
-
Pat that dress is gorgeous. LB my FB status last night was something like this "some people call us stalkers but we prefer to think of ourselves as enthusiastic followers" he just laughs at us. Badger can you put that cheesecake in your suitcase it sounds like something I'd like to have with my cup of tea
Did Sh'bam class this morning and then another Body Combat class tonight and I sure would like a foot massage cause my dogs are barking
-
Lilac - oh to be young again is right! Great that your son is running with you. Pat - beautiful dress! I love the flowing layers on the skirt. Ann - careful with that black widow!!! Some of you may remember that brown recluse spider that got me a few years ago - I ended up in the hospital for 5 days on IV antibiotics. Those little poisonous spiders can do a number on you! Those rocks sound pretty - you could do some kind of stone border with them, I bet. Ruth - we're having the crazy weather here too - 85 yesterday, and the high today isn't supposed to get out of the 60's. Good practice for SF, I guess. ms-mez - congrats on Radiation Graduation Day!
90 minute yin yoga class last night - I do like that class. I brought my running stuff to take a run after work today - gotta take advantage of this cool day while I can!
-
Busy busy after work, not fitting in my exercise, hopefully tomorrow. Had annual vet appt. yesterday evening with our seemingly healthy14 year old cat - he has a heart murmur which they would like to do echo cardiogram on, and suspicious spots on his eye which might be melanoma. He was a dumpster kitty and my husbands favorite, so he's a little bummed right now. Tonight I'm having a jewelry party at my house, so exercise will have to wait til tomorrow.
-
Pat...gorgeous dress. Ruth...reminds me of the Flanders & Swann ditty about missing Spring because he was in the bath at the time.
We have our big luncheon today, and I need to get moving. Learned the data entry system last night, so a late walk. Too beat for a run. I took a route I hadn't done since I did wearing duck hunting shoes. That part was overgrown and wet on top, and squishy footing. But a meadowish area under a power line with birds singing everywhere. Talked to some horses I met along the way. Then back to my place and dinner.
I have figured out that "small plates" is a wonderful euphemism for "leftovers". Anyway, it was delish and cleaned out the fridge.
Need to get moving for the luncheon. I can't wait to meet Dr. Lee Hood whose encore career was founding the Institute for Systems Biology here in Seattle. Plus a mover and shaker in the biotech world. Better look just amazing. Hmmmmm. - Claire
-
Pass Badger's cheesecake over here Cheryl. Perfect dress and sorry to read of your cat Pat. Enjoy the luncheon Claire. We run again together tomorrow Mary and Odie, yup, I think a good memory to look back on.
Body balance this morning and back to yoga late afternoon.
-
My son and I walk. It's good because we get each other out walking and well, if you know teenagers, it's the only time I get a good talk with him. Maybe we will work up to running.
Walked 50minutes today and just finished my stretching.
-
Core & pilates this morning & Zumba tonight (still trying to work off the 7 Cake Weekend pounds!).
-
Went to boot camp class again tonight after work. Will likely be crawling to the photocopier tomorrow...LOL.
Must stay away from the cheesecake pops as they sound as dangerous as Elvis' hips.....
Happy Friday ladies.
-
Just a dog walking day. Getting ready to go out of town for granddaughter's HS graduation and a mini-reunion with other family coming from out of state. I hope to get a run in before I work half a day tomorrow, then get on the road.
-
OK ladies, the last load of laundry is out of the dryer and I have WAY too many clothes in the "bring" pile. Must cut down by half then finish packing for Cali trip. Will drive to Madison for work tomorrow, stay with mom, then head to the airport for Sat flight so can't put it off any longer. Love to travel but hate to pack!
Cheesecake was really good, I'd share if I could but it's gone. DH ate two pieces last night, I gave some to the friend who gave me cherries from her tree, and brought the rest to work where it was gone in a trice. Thank goodness - that's a dangerous substance to have around the house LOL.
Did get in a 4-mile walk this evening. This'll be my last post here for a while so everyone please take good care. Looking forward to seeing my Sculpted Sisters! ♥
-
See you Saturday, Badger!!!!!
-
Pat I hope your kitty gets better. NatsFan, it's hard to accept that a tiny spider can do that much damage! Our MIL just sent an article claiming black widows aren't really that dangerous, but I don't think we'll stop killing them on sight any time soon.
Saw my new primary care today. She advised against surgery for the shoulder, referred me to PT. I guess I will try it, maybe I will get a better result this time.
Long hike today and hooping. Sadly, my big uphill climb hiking trail is closed due to the recent fires. I had finally worked up the courage to go look at the devastation. Not sure how long until it re-opens.
-
Tonight did Body Jam class, now here is the bad part. We carpool and meet in a parking lot by the freeway on ramp, in this shopping center this ice cream place opened up and there is always a line, a long line, well tonight we found out why, OMG it's not just ice cream, it's ice cream in a warm glazed donut, the place is called 'Afters' it should be called OMG OMG OMG cause they were the only words that were being uttered as we were devouring our after class treat
Safe journey Badger, see you Saturday.
-
Cheryl, you mean this?:

Why decide between an ice cream cone or a doughnut when you can have both!
Safe travels to all who are taking off today. I'm off to the gym and will post later.
-
OMG Cheryl, sounds amazing. Been raining here this week but stepped out for some walks anyway. Did my usual bike route last night but backwards going up the biggest hill first which cut a minute off my time as the rest of the route is very hilly but lots of gradual hills and more down than up when approached backwards. Sun is out today so feeling a run is in my future.
-
Pat - I hope your kitty's heart murmur turns out to be a manageable one. Our little chihuahua, Molly, was dx with a heart murmur at about that age. It gradually got worse, but still she lived till 19, so I hopefully your kitty's murmur will progress slowly too. I never heard of eye melanoma - hopefully it's contained and surgery will get it out. Thinking of you and dh - those little critters really touch our hearts.
Ann - hope the new PT can find a way to give you some relief. Those fires were frightening - a few years ago we hiked Chino Hills near my SIL's house. There'd been fires there a few years prior and I'd never seen anything like that landscape. The grasses had grown back, but the scrub trees were still all twisted and burned black - they were very disturbing and almost lifelike - like misshapen zombies crossing the land. I hope your hiking places open soon - it will be interesting for you to watch the recovery.
Badger and everyone else who is traveling - be safe and enjoy LA. Can't wait to meet up with all of you in SF! And yes, work is the best place for getting rid of tempting goodies.
Didn't make my run last night as the friend we were having dinner with had to move up the time we were meeting, so I got out this morning instead. It was nice and cool after all the rain yesterday. I kept getting cold wet sprinkles on me as the water dripped off the trees - very refreshing!
-
Ran 2.6 miles before work, worked half day and now hitting the road for Dallas. Can't believe my first granddaughter is graduating!!
-
Freestyle step, body balance in the morning and 5k run with our boy in the afternoon.
-
Did yoga this morning & have been running around all the rest of the day getting ready for the California Dreaming trip!
-
Walked again this evening 30 minutes and going to do my stretching. I'm trying to get into that habit, otherwise I forget to do that piece. It sure is easy to exercise when the weather is great.
So you California Dreamin girls are going to still be doing your exercise right? We don't want to hear any laziness going on!
-
Cheryl is going to take us to Eduardo's class on Monday night. IF we survive that we also have plans for lots of touring & walking (including going to Alcatraz & walking across the Golden Gate Bridge). If somebody knows how to post pictures from a phone, we can send them back as we go (otherwise, I will post some when I get home. I only know how to get them to BCO from a computer).
-
Absolutely nothing for me this week. Been fighting an 'intestinal issue' since early Sunday morning, praying that it will clear up before my California Dreaming flight tomorrow . Things are looking way better than they did a couple of days ago, thank goodness. I'm still a bit worried but at this moment I'm feeling much more hopeful.
Badger and Ruth: cya tomorrow around 2pm local Minneapolis time and Cheryl: cya around 7:30pm California Dreamin' time!
-

Picture from my walk the other day but mostly a test from iPhone. So Ruth, there's probably an app that uploads to websites but the way I did this was go to breastcancer.org on my cell phone, sign in so I can post and then insert a picture. It will ask you if you want one from photo library or camera, or at least the iphone does.
-
hmmm....I was able to do all the first stuff, but when I clicked 'insert' a box comes up that says it is 'undefined' and when I click 'OK', everything disappears/
-
30 minutes on the Elliptical today plus some stretching.
Safe travels to everyone off for California dreaming...Wish I could join you guys but just can't do it this year. Have fun and post lots of pictures when you can.
-
Ruth, see if this is what you did. I used the picture icon on this site, I get a screen that looks blank but if you scroll up you see "insert image" and a button that says "choose file" and then the iphone screen pops up from the bottom with "take Photo or Video" or "Choose Existing". That's the extent of my tech expertise. It sounds like it doesn't understand where your photos are or something. Maybe check your settings. I do see my icloud is set with photos "on" if that makes a difference.
