Repeated fat necrosis after flap recon

I had a revision surgery 3 1/2 weeks ago to remove some very painful areas of fat necrosis from inside my chest. Less than a week later, I felt new a new hard and very tender area in my left breast. Was told I need to give it time while I heal from surgery, but now today, I feel yet another area - in my right breast. I am so tired of this constant discomfort, and I'm wondering if anyone has any advice or suggestions on what I can do - short of having another surgery to attempt to remove these new areas, or if I need to consider removing the reconstructed breasts altogether because I'm consistently developing fat necrosis. Thanks in advance!

I think you should check with your surgeon. I think that the areas of necrotic fat can be aspirated with a syringe. Maybe they stop forming after awhile. Call them tomorrow!!

How frustrating!  I developed necrosis after my stage 1 and it was not corrected at stage 2. I'm looking at having DIEP in January and am concerned that necrosis will still be a problem afterward.  What was done at your revision? Was another flap used?

Gerry, my PS is not local (I traveled for my surgery), so it's not quite that easy, unfortunately. They've told me I just need to give it more time to potentially soften up...
LAstar, my PS removed the fat necrosis and then rotated the flat and did some fat grafting to fill in the area. Not sure why these two new areas developed again.
