so on Thursday I was told I will need chemo. (lymph node involvement).

I have been really depressed the last few days and figured this was the best place to turn and that maybe along the way I can help someone else find a happy thought. It's been hard finding things to look forward to seeing as Iall I can think about is loosing my hair and feeling yucky. So I thought we could all list things we are looking forward to that are good.

First for me. Today we brought a camper so we get to camp some this summer.

Second is something I'm hoping will happen. I'm trying to talk my boyfriend into getting a new German shepherd puppy. We have been dog less for over a year now. (we do have a kitty) hoping he says yes. Thought it would be nice to have something to get up for everyday and it would be wonderfull to have a walking partner again.

both sound like nice things, I have 3 small dogs and they are a lot of comfort and companionship. Seems like you get it, life does not stop while you have chemo. You may be lucky, as I was, having few mild side effects from chemo. Good luck, and I hope you get the pup!

Cceandme, you'll meet others with that same happy feeling about having a puppy on the Comfort Dogs thread here on the boards (and some adorable pictures of their various companion animals) too!

Gardening is my happy place.  Just planted lots of starts in my veggy garden this weekend and looking forward to a great harvest!

I have a pug that I rescued about a year before diagnosis.  He has been a blessing.  The best dog I have ever had.  I think he knows i'm sick too.

My sister comes in next week and I'm so excited.  Then my son comes home for my big surgery day.  I will be surrounded by friends and family and I can not wait until this is all over.

Hope the BF agrees to the pup.  They are a lot of work but they sure do comfort you.
