Oncowarrior, rest up and we have bramble to tackle as it's a 3 day weekend here too. Well done Annie Lane for extending your runs. ms_mez, is tomorrow the last day of rads? I like you smelling the flowers on your walk. Cheryl, good for you on 3 yesterday and I'll bet you slept well. TwoHobbies, you are sticking with it and Badger, do you have a 5k walk slated this weekend?
This morning, body balance, pink pilates, 5k run on dreadmill as the wind and rain is too much to be out in and got to yoga at 4pm.
-
Subbed today. This is the first time I've ever been in an 8th grade room on the last day of school & it was pretty cool. The kids go on to the high school next year & they were kind of sentimental; signing yearbooks, taking lots of pictures etc. etc. They weren't as restless as I thought they would be (although they were counting down the last couple minutes and chanting 'Summer, Summer' the last 30 seconds or so. Fun!
I am SO sore from all my flower planting....youch, my back! But I did stop & get some flowers for 4 planters and get them in once I got home so that I could be DONE, DONE.
Did a 30 minutes pilates DVD, will go to Zumba, & then I think come home and go to bed!!!!
-
Another gorgeous evening here, will get out for a walk in a bit.
LB I wish but no 5k this weekend. The trim around the windows needs paint so that's my outdoor activity. I want to do some spring cleaning but it's too nice to stay inside and clean behind the 'fridge LOL!
-
Ruth that makes me wish I was a student or teacher. I'm as restless but no summer break!
Walked all over the mall this evening buying shorts and shirts for son.that counts doesn't it?
-
Ann - sorry for your loss but very glad that your home was untouched by the fires
I am impressed by all of the activity that everyone is posting. I have been doing some working out, but I feel like I need to catch up. I did a 4 mile run Sunday night after eating waaaay too much pizza at my step-son's 28th bday luncheon; a 550 yd swim workout before heading to my Firearms qualifications on Tues; took the day off from exercise yesterday to get a baseline EKG because I have been switched from Tamoxifen to Fareston and then went out to dinner with DH for our 14 anniversary; tried to atone for last night's chocolate "To Die For" dessert with a 14 mile bike ride this morning but had to be rescued at mile 10.5 by DH because of a heavy down pour with lightening. Off for an early morning swim workout tomorrow and maybe a Gentle Yoga class afterward.
Hope everyone has a great day tomorrow!
-
30 minutes on the Elliptical today plus some yoga to stretch out sore muscles. Not sure what I will get into this weekend but am looking forward to a few days away from work. Been way too busy...
Happy Friday ladies.
-
30 minutes of yoga this morning, before heading out for the day. I got a walk in at lunchtime, and a quick 9 holes of golf afterwork, with hubby. Since I tend to play "military style" golf....aka...hit it left, hit it right, hit it left....you get the picture, I got a fair bit of walking in! Going for a hike tomorrow, but likely nothing spectacular. Too much snow up higher, too many bears down low....the safer trails are boooorrrrrriiiiinnnngggg, but, at least we'll be out.
-
Still slammed with work so reliving last weekend's adventure. Downloaded the picture of Mother Eagle and her eaglets this AM. - Claire

Gone for a couple of weeks where I hiked and walked to the point of losing weigth despite multiple great meals daily. Now want my weigth back and to re-establish my 3-4 gym days. Today was 5k in elyptical and really tired from it.
Nihahi - just noticed you on this forum since 1991? Wow... thank you so much! I want to be you and be here to support others in 20+ years!
-
Nihahi - LOL on the military style golf! Wow - everyone's been so busy - I feel like a slug in comparison. I got into a nasty mess of poison ivy at the cabin, so have been applying cream and taking Benedryl to help the itching. It's been effective, but leaves me feeling slow and unambitious. I did dig up a bunch of daylilies after work yesterday - they've totally overgrown the garden at home, so I dug them out to take up to plant at the cabin. So at least I got an hour of Garden N Sculpt yesterday.
Heading up to the cabin tonight for the 3 day weekend.
-
Have thoroughly enjoyed reading what everyone is going and seeing all the pictures!
Nats: Yuck! Sorry about the poison ivy.
Beautiful picture mz mes!
I've been staying active daily. On Wednesday dh, ds, and I went to a state park in the NC mountains. It was a fairly new park and they are still developing trails. We hiked up, up, up to the summit. Gorgeous! Afterwards we overloaded on food at a restaurant that serves family style all-you-can-eat.
Here is a picture from the Blue Ridge Parkway.
-
Wonderland, great photo and Mary, enjoy the cabin and sorry to read about poison ivy (something I've yet to experience).
Power step and body balance at the gym this am.
-
Beautiful photos Claire and Wonderland. Wonderland I get a little stir when I see yours. I used to live in the upstate of SC and have spent many day in those mountains.
More mall walking today, this time shopping for me,and I will walk the dog after dinner. We're kind of doing a memorial day style dinner tonight. Corn on the cobb, grass fed beef burgers (no bun for me) grilled onions and mushrooms, maybe strawberries for dessert later. So that makes my band The Blue Corns this check-in.
-
Gorgeous picture, Wonderland!
Here's what it looks like around here today:

-
Since I didn't have anything else going on, I tagged along with DH on an all day business trip & got to spend some time with an old friend.
Did a 45 minutes toning DVD with Denise Austin & 15 minutes on the treadmill tonight. It has been thunderstorming and pouring down rain for the last several hours. I am very scared that the flowers I spent so much time planting will be drowned!!!!
-
Went for an easy ramble today. Unfortunately, all I have are cellphone photos, since I forgot to charge my camera battery.

As you can see, the rivers are starting to rise around here.....hope they behave themselves this year......
-
hi all, more great pix! Nihahi I wouldn't have known those were cell phone pix unless you said so. Really nice quality. I just discovered (and deleted) 120 images on my cell phone, most of them black as the inside of my purse LOL.
Another beautiful day here, loving this stretch of days in the mid 70's and nights in the low 50's (good sleeping weather). Walked for an hour then watched The Year of Living Dangerously on TCM. Good movie and wow 30+ years old. Smokin' hot young Mel!
-
Loving all the nature pics, Ladies!
Today I walked the dogs one mile with DH and worked out with weights at the gym after warming up on the elliptical.
-
Ran 2 miles before work this morning (working on Saturday =
) and will walk the dogs with DH another mile this evening. -
Took a long walk; now on to a busy day!
-
Getting in lots of yard work today with DH. Digging, hauling, pulling, weeding. Just took a quick lunch break and we're back at it.
-
Lovely nature photos, Claire Ruth and Nihahi and Wonderland that is a gorgeous one of you.
Did a Spin class this morning, can't remember the last time I was on a bike and my butt knows it, but there was lots of liquid awesome, now to do some sweeping, mopping and flicking around the feather duster!!!!!
-
Got out for a walk this morning then did errands - haircut, bank, grocery store. A week from now I'll be in the air to California! But for now, on to painting.
-
Pretty pictures Ruth and Nihahi!
Beautiful day - 70s, blue sky. Went to Farmer's Market this morning then walked/jogged at the park. Have a great day everyone!
-
Mowed for an hour today. I intended to start some planting too but after that I kind of petered out. There's always tomorrow.
-
Bike ride with hubby today....20 km, with some HILLS!
-
-
Wow - thanks for all beautiful pics. We don't get any real Spring in SoCal.
No exercise today unless you count serious cleaning to impress in-laws who will be arriving in 2 weeks and staying for 5 weeks. Gym tomorrow

Oncowarrior- hope you can catch -a photo of the 2-day color event!

-
NisaVilla, you bet Scrub & Sculpt counts!
Got the 1st coat of paint on the trim, will see tomorrow if a 2nd is needed. What a chore: scraping and sanding before priming and painting.
Nihah great pix! This is why we live up north where it snows. Eventually it melts and gets warmer and it's gorgeous! What are the little black cups, some kind of mushroom?
