Bleeding during pelvic exam

Options

Before I was diagnosed with breast cancer, I had an IUD placed because I had heavy periods and a "boggy" uterus.  I have been twice now to get my pelvic done and the first one was insufficient matter and the second time as soon as he touched my cervix he said it started bleeding.  Intercourse has been extremely painful and now I don't have sex at all, well twice in the past year, but the pelvic exam itself was very painful.  He is referring me to the Women's clinic at the VA in Albany, NY.  He is a GP at a clinic branch so they don't have the right equipment for more tests.  I read that women who have had breast cancer and are on Tamoxifen are at a greater risk for developing endometrial cancer.  I'm a little, well more than a little worried.
