    ;)

As much as chemo kicks my butt, I am enjoying the small things.

My showers now take about 3 minutes tops.  Also, not worrying about blowing out my hair.

My period hasn't made its arrival yet.  I'm not missing it.

The support friends and family have given me shows how compassionate people can be and are.

Not feeling guilty for taking naps. ;)

I'm sure there are more, but today is ramping up day and I want to get some things done before tomorrow's chemo.

no no - there were... i liked the feeling of hot water on my bald scalp...  and i loved wearing my various cycling caps without regard for hat head.  and i dropped a bunch of weight and liked how i fit into my clothes.  i also liked the pre-chemo cocktail - ativan and benadryl gave me quite a high - lasted about 20  minutes... them BAM - nap time.

Gaining a strong understanding that life is but a journey that is different/unique for each of us.  That it is for us to decide how to make the most of the bad' as if we only experience 'good', we never appreciate it.  There. is beauty/joy/peace in 'small' things if we take the time to see them.

For me,  I'm glad that if 'something' had to happen to me that it was only IBC.  I had fantastic Drs who gave me what I needed to fight it and fight I DID.  There is nothing today that I want to do that I can't.  I am still a very active outdoor woman doing all the activities I always have and added a couple of new ones.  IF I had developed heart of lung issues or many other 'things', they pprobably would have limited what I could do or at least limited.  It.

During TX - getting out of having to do barn, dog and house chores.  (TX for me was fall/winter so no yard chores) .  Adult Son took over all barn chores and Hubby took over dogs, cooking and house chores.  (Unless I wanted to.)

Got to drive my first Powder Puff Mud Bog the weekend after 2nd DD A/C.  Placed 2nd behind a 'big money built up' Open truck driving an old stock IH Scout that had sat without running.for 2 yrs until the week before when I gave it to Son to use Mud Boggin.

Well, a new appreciation for the people in my life is a big silver lining for me!

Also, a lot of people comment that my skin looks really good...hmm, I guess its all that baby wash and lotion I used throughout chemo...Thank the Lord I didn't need pampers too...LOL!

Realizing how loving and supportive my young kids were (and are).

Knowing my hair was off to someone who really needed it (set it to locks of love).

Huge highs from the steroids that were in my chemo cocktail :-).

Meeting new friends from BCO, both online and in person.

Not having to shave my legs!

    Shorter showers, that is nice.

I like the Ativan too :)

My list is short....maybe after tx I will have more once I am able to "appreciate it" lol
