I'm friends with fuzzy too. She has mets to lungs and liver. She's still a spitfire and planning to make the absolute best of whatever comes. There is a trip with her girls in the works for this summer.
-
rip Jenn - you were always a great friend and listener. Strength and love to her boys xo
Thanks for letting us know.
-
thanks SpecialK for the link to the other forum. I knew she had stopped posting on BCO quite awhile back and that is around when we became friends on Facebook but then somehow I think I deleted her by mistake. She and I used to play words with friends on Facebook..
You have certainly had some challenges with the whole BC and recon... Hope the next surgery goes well for you.
I am doing ok. I got a new leg back in March so still having adjustments done for that. My left leg is still bothering me some but I walk most every day on my treadmill in hopes I can reverse the blockage in my leg. Had my 6th month checkup with my oncologist and everything seems good there.
Spent a few days last week with my daughter and granddaughters. That always makes me happy and the granddaughters keep me moving..
-
crog - thanks for the good wishes! Glad you are getting around, the things that have happened post-treatment are a comparable shock to the original diagnosis, at least some days! Hang in there and keep up the good progress!
-
pejkug3. So sorry to hear this, such sad news but you are right she is a spitfire!!!! I was friends with her on Facebook and then I somehow deleted her by accident.. She and I used to play words with friends. I couldn't remember her screen name on Facebook to friend her again... 😒

Thought I'd look in and see how my fellow Feb 2011 chemo pals are doing. I have only looked back a few pages but saw my pal Fuzzy mentioned. Fuzzy and I are now metsters and keep in touch. I've been posting on the Stage 4 threads lately. I hope everyone else are doing okay? I'm a bit out of touch. *hugs* to all...
-
Emily - I saw your post about progression today, I am so sorry you are having to deal with this. I was aware of fuzzy's progression also - how are you both doing? I know she is more active on Facebook than BCO, and last I heard was on a vacation with her girls.
-
Hi Special K...I am doing okay. Just had my second round of chemo yesterday ( Abraxane). Fuzzy is back from vacation and keeping busy and her spirits seem good. She has told me that anyone who wants her Facebook contact name or email to send a private message to me. She will try to pop in when she has a chance.
-
EinO - glad you are hanging in, hope the Abraxane treats you kindly. Glad to hear fuzzy is in good spirits, I am not on FB but considering joining.
-
let me know if you join Facebook SpecialK.
-
crog - Will do! How are you!
-
about the same... I think I told you I was going on Prolia. Well after my 2nd shot I had another bone density test and my spine has improved and my hip has stabilized. I was thrilled with this and hope it will improve more over time. So that is my good news.
How are you doing?
-
crog - yay for Prolia! It's def working for me too! I'm ok, but after a repair surgery for allograft bi-lat in Mar, I had healing issues, another surgery in Apr, and another in May and lost my left implant. So I'm currently half-flat, looking to have surgery again in late Sept to have an expander placed, then exchange later. I'm hanging in, glad I lost the expander before chemo previously as that experience has made this easier.
-
wow I thought I had had a lot of surgeries but you have me beat!!!!!! Hope your next surgery and expander work and that you can put surgeries behind you....
-
crog - your surgeries have been more serious - mine are just for recon. I too am hoping that I can do this expander and exchange and be DONE! I kind of really need to be done at this point, lol!
-
yup SpecialK enough is enough I would think..
-
Hi everyone,
just wanted to send my love to you all and say hi.
Emily, im sorry about the latest progression..
i wish you speedy healing and that the chemo kicks butt and side effects are mild. ( I'm also in ontario if you ever want to connect or need anything) Special K, wow, you have been through so much, so many surgeries! sounds like you're holding up ok. i hope so! thinking of you. i know even though all your own trials and tribulations you are an amazing support to so many of us here.
Crog, im glad you're getting some relief. in some ways it seems like so long ago when this journey for all of us started and other days it seems like yesterday.
I am just going through some testing for a lumpy spot that is on my chest. we think it's scar tissue and ive had an mri that was clear, but my onc wants me to have a ct of the chest as the area wouldn't have been picked up on mri. i won't lie and say im fine, im terrified. i have a cold right now as well and i think im just having one of those bad days. i guess the spot could be from radiation as well. so im trying to keep it togehter, and for the most part i am. just today it's tough. and i just wanted to reach out to my feb girls who get it.
thanks ladies, and im thinking of you all.

-
ruffy - hey! We do get it and I hope that indeed this spot is nothing, best that you are getting it checked. Hope your cold resolves soon - not good to have a cold and be worried about this! Keep us posted.
-
Hi ruffy... thanks for the good wishes and I do hope it's nothing and that you get results soon to ease your mind. Let us know. I'll be in TO in August at Princess Margaret for molecular tumour profiling. Nice to meet a fellow Ontarian although none of us really want to be meeting under these circumstances...
-
hi ruffy... Hoping the ct results are clear just like the MRI.... Hope your cold is better soon.
