    Hi everyone, 

    I am nearly 2 years out from dx. I think I am keen to reconstruct. When I saw my surgeon last she encouraged me to 'not think about recon at all'.  I had other health issues (which are now largely but not completely resolved) I also had a very physical job, which I now am unable to do. I know this was part of her reluctance to go ahead with recon for me. She has also stated that I am at future risk from chest wall recurrence.

    She did say we could explore it if I really wanted to. But essentially that was her advice. 

    I am really unsure of what to do here.

    I am going back for my 6 month check with her next Thurs and I am wondering about raising again.  

    Anyone else been in a similar situation?

    I haven't been in a similar situation, but if I were you I would bring it up again. Have you thought about getting another opinion from a different dr.? If it is something you really want I would start investigating. Just my thoughts.
