American Idol Season 13 - The Voice Season 6

I read that Jena and Alex were the two that voted to keep things as is - one goes home. Competitively, if not out of generousity, that was probably a good vote for them since neither were probably on the bottom this week. With two going next week, a bad song choice might put either in second to last position.

Well, I think ALL the remaining contestants have improved considerably since their auditions... all that tutoring and mentoring really paid off.
As far as winners, well, as much as I think Alex is an intelligent and talent musician, the thought of having to watch him on stage for an entire concert is just painful. He always looks SO uncomfortable, and that makes ME uncomfortable.
I love Jessica's voice, and her ability to stay true to her roots. She can rock it or turn it into a passionate ballad. Unfortunately, her personality always seems a bit stiff and stilted, and I'm not sure all the fans consider her to be really accessible.
For sure, Caleb has been consistent week after week after week. But there is such a thing as being TOO consistent. Yes, true to his rocker roots, but coming very close to being a one-trick-pony. Every song sounds the same. Will young voters appreciate this sound? Not sure. HE sure seems like he believes he's going to win.
I guess that leaves Jena in my prediction to win. She's young, cute, hip, talented, versatile, bubbly, and down-to-earth. I think the fans - both young and old - like her a lot.
But the bottom line is that the small print in the AI literature somewhere says that it is up to the discretion of the producers to ultimately decide who wins AI. So there ya go!!!
-
I am going to jump in with my AI predictions. I am unable to vote being Canadian but I think Jessica is going home next. Final three will be Caleb, Alex and Jena. I think Alex will be leaving in the 3 rd position even though he is my favorite. The final two I think will be Caleb and Jena with Caleb winning in the end...it doesn't matter though, they will all get a deal!
-
I do believe that the producers make the final decision. The vote is rigged. In the second season they were accused of this.
-
I predict Jena will win it all, Caleb in 2nd, Jessica in 3rd, and Alex in 4th.
Alex is talented, but very awkward and uncomfortable on stage. Jessica has got a great voice, but she is very "stiff" on stage, if she doesn't loosen up, she'll go next. Caleb is great, but keeps singing the same old stuff every week. I love watching Jena, she is excellent every time, her voice and her performance.

It was a very enjoyable AI episode ♥
My vote goes to JENA
-
Jena, yes, but I think Jessica is going home tomorrow.
-
I'm half way thru the show here in Oregon. Jess just sang "So What" by Pink. Now as you all know (I think) she is not one of my favs, BUT I thought she totally rocked that song. The judges all dissed her after Keith & Jennifer rocked out while she was singing. They are totally directing the votes. Perhaps AI should have the 1st night just be the kids singing with no criticism/praise, thereby only being about an hour. Then night 2, do a FAST review of the performances with Judges comments, and then the results of America's votes. At least that way the bias won't make a difference.
Alex & Jena are still my favs. I thought Alex was GREAT on his 1st song. Caleb is consistent, good but I'm tired of him & as someone said, I wouldn't be able to do a concert of him.
Hope that the rest of the show goes as great as the 1st hour.
-
Caleb won me over (first time) with the Beatles song, but Jena won me back with Elvis. Jena for the win.
Have always liked Alex's lane. I would prefer a Jena Alex final, but it will probably be Caleb Jena. Either or is good. They're all talented.
Jena is up there with my all time favorites -Kelly Clarkson, Adam Lambert.
-
Jena for the win...and I want her eye shadow
-
Haven't written about AI for some weeks (since the 80's theme bored me to near-death, and the judges used the save on Sam) because I lost interest.
I like all of the top four. Too bad Jessica never made it out of second gear. Too bad she and Alex are so bland on stage. Liked their originals.
This is not just a talent show...it is a competition. I think Jena and Caleb compete well each week and deserve to be finalists.
Caleb needs to submit to a stylist and trim his hair mess. It's now an ugly distraction.
Jena is versatile singer with a more appealing appearance.
Don't care who wins the show.
The show is too long.
----------------------------------------
I got a little tired of watching The Voice too.
They have already let some interesting ones go. Three good ones left. One great one left.
Josh. He's outperformed everyone every single week. Good for him.

Thanks Sheila. Not posting any more. Nothing more to say.
-
Caleb is a performer. Alex is a singer. Jess is mediocre both. Gena is a singer and performer, the whole package and I think, the winner.
However, it doesn't make any difference who wins if they don't get really good songs to record after the show is over. AI is famous for sinking careers. Candice Glover from last year, with her powerhouse voice, has an album out. Who knew. Lousy new songs.
If Alex puts out an album I would buy it if the new songs are any good. They should all include covers of old songs with a new spin on it, like Gena last night. But they never do that. Famous artists do all the time.
-
The Elvis song was incredible for Jena. Loved it. Also loved Caleb's Beatles. Of the 3 songs for Alex, the one the judges praised was my least favorite. & I liked Jess' 3rd song as well as the Pink song. I still think the 3 will be Jena, Caleb & Alex but Jess may have done enough to knock Alex out (I hope not). Jena to win it!
-
And as far as the Voice is concerned, I'm with Elimar! Josh has been my fav from the get-go. How in the world did the chubby cowboy get in the final 5? His song on Monday was terrible, in my opinion. Like Kat also but the rest are pretty ho-hum.
-
And while I'm on the subject, if that silly Pharrell Williams wears that ridiculous hat through the whole season he is a judge I might have to NOT watch!
-
9:32 PM
Do you know who went home?
I do
-
But we can't tell until tomorrow for the west coast.
-
You're right
But we know
-
I know too. Thanks for being quiet girls!
-
Thank you as I came on here with my Iphone last night (forgetting I never watched the results show). If someone had spoken of the results I was within a razor's edge of finding out. I looked this morning (on the DVR).
-
Josh Kaufman-"All of Me" melted me! I hope he wins it all!
-
Watching The Voice on DVR (after midnight) - this group seems to be raising the bar (finally). I also loved Josh's All of Me...it took me by surprise. Kat is a great singer but I couldn't connect due to not understanding any of the words. I don't care enough about anyone to have a top favorite.
On Idol, I think Caleb has the most natural talent but he doesn't have universal appeal. It is getting difficult to watch Alex week after week without a blockbuster performance. I think Jena is improving every song but not sure she is the winner. It's great mindless entertainment for me....after a long day at work.
-
For the instant save
-
Instant save. I was disappointed & quite frankly, surprised.
-
I'm sorry Caleb's voice was under the weather, but he rocked "Dazed & Confused!" Wow! A lot of that was the house band too.
I REALLY want Alex & Jena to be the final 2, but I still think that America will vote Caleb & Jena as that. Alex was awesome last night, but his last song was not as strong as the 1st 2 & I think that song, even tho I love how he does it, wasn't as strong as the other 2 & their final song & I believe that's what will get them votes. Argh!
So it's been long enough to do a spoiler on the voice. I think that Kat or Kristen deserved that 3rd spot, not Grimmy. But I also don't think country boy deserved to be in the final 3, so here's hoping Josh takes that show!
-
hi Joni
Next week AI will be aired Tuesday and finale Wednesday night
I love Jena on the piano...she is my next AI we'll see
-
I agree on AI. Too bad someone else makes their song choices. Alex is a crooner up against two powerhouse performers. I would still prefer to hear Alex sing than the others. All of them have a future regardless.
-
So who is going home ???????????
-
Alex, regretfully.
-
I think so too
It was one of the best top 3
