I'd bet money that it's a "good morning"!!
I'm having one as well. -
Hi shel, lini how are you girls doing?
Shel: I have went for 4 days and not cried once.
Talk to all of you soon.. -

Oh, Peggy, I was just referring to someone else who likes to post (ramble, not make much sense) when drunk and I was hoping that I didn't come across that way. That's all. Didn't mean to be cryptic!
Janis, I don't know about anyone else but me, but I bet you have us all wondering. Is it me? What did I write? Should I check all my recent posts? Is it my typos? Did I say something mean to someone? -
Jay -
Never seen you ramble or not make sense, drunk or sober lol! Hope you're having fun with your dad.
hugs
peggy
PS: It wasn't you Christine...someone else was in posting after having a few too many...since deleted her posts I believe. No worries! -
oh christine i'm lmao...........it's nothing to do with you! we had a strange night on another thread!
robin........good for you!!!!!! it's amazing what we can endure when backed into a corner! (you still need to share your story with everybody else though)
have a great afternoon girls........summer is going to be gone before we know it.......gotta get my fill before it's over!!!!! -
there is a girl named vickie
who had cancer so bad it was icky
been poisoned and prodded
amputated not applauded
radiated for weeks
had enough of those creeps
skins peeling off
hairs fallen out
pass me a drink
or i'll scream and shout
used to be blonde (yes all the way)
coming in brown but it's hair so...yeah!
you've made my head hurt with your rhyming its true so pass me a drink so i won't be so blue.
i look in the mirror and what do i see a bald boobless wonder...yup thats me!
ok ladies...i passed my initiation...no more rhymes from me.
Hugs all around
Vickie
(oh...my radiation team weren't really creepy...they were a great bunch...it's the bloodsucking nurses that get to me!) -
hey!!!!!!!! i'm one of those "bloodsuckers" lololol!
-
OK, I got a pm that hipped me to the dirt that went down last night. I always miss all the fun (luckily)
I really woulda been pretending. The only cryptic word I get is couch. How did very and much become code words. (Looking for the couch.)
So glad I do not have to check myself into Betty Ford, for "drunk dialing" at bc.org. Thanks for the
clarifications.
Shel- love your new location. Maybe I should change mine to Loveseat? lol -
For some reason I always feel so lost, but that's okay. Ignorance is bliss.
-
oh...sorry shel...lol...my original hospital was flooded and so I have to go to a different hospital for bloodwork and they are so swamped that they have the students do the blood draws...I have really little veins and let me tell you...OUCH...soooo black and blue every time that I wish I still had that hateful port!
Hugs to all you good sweet nurses too!
vickie -
lol at lini.........vicki called nurses bloodsuckers (which is funny but true).......i'm a nurse........blah blah blah!
ok........i'm really going outside now! ttyl girlies! -
HI LINI...I got your card...wait till you see the one I'm sending back!
thanks
Vickie
Lucky you...no gray and no hair dye. -
Hi Vickie! I can't wait!! I'm glad that you've joined us over here. It's so much fun. Hey counted a few more grays this week. I'll be coloring my hair sooner than I thought. Was going to say dyeing, but don't like that word anymore.
ALL- Did you know that you can edit your posts and check the little box and know one will know that your posts have been edited. That way people can't go back and see what's edited and what's not. Or who's had a little too much to drink the night before. That'll really confuse everyone. Cryptic, huh?? And you guys thought I was dumb. Just pretending, well sometimes. LOL!!! -
Oh, Robin forgot to tell you "hello". Sounds like you are doing better. I'm glad..
-
Have one for me tonight, ladies. I just got a call from a friend, free Toby Keith tickets.
Now, if I could just figure out who Toby is...country, right? I am a rock and roller from WAY back.
(hey, newvickie, I am a natural blonde, too!...also a bloodsucking nurse, LOL!)
CHEERS! -
Tody Keith...yup he's country but fun.
Are you still a natural blonde?
Wishing the hair on my head would grow as fast as the hair on my legs...I'd have a ponytail by now...have to shave every friggin day for crying out loud! And that used to be blonde too...couldn't even SEE it...no such luck now. Listen to me...complain about no hair, complain about too much hair. Just no pleasing me LOL.
Bottoms up
Vickie -
No chemo here, so I got to keep my hair. So, guess what I did? I dyed it RED! After 43 years as a blonde, it's taken some getting used to...
-
Vicki, you'll enjoy Toby he puts on a good show!
C+Vickie, have you thought about waxing, then you wouldn't have to worry about it for a few weeks!
It's just after 4pm here and I broke my rule and have already downed half a wine cooler. (not allowed to drink because of the blood thinners, but I don't go in for my test for another 12 days I think so maybe I'll just tye on one tonight. Think I have come So. Comfort in the other room. I guess I find out if I'll lose the house the end of this week, so no time like now to tye one on -
But it's the weekend Cheryl. It's okay to break the rules on the weekend. I'm enjoying a glass of wine.
lini -
Yeah but I'm not really suppose to drink at all with these damn blood thinners.
-
Oh. well then I'd skip the Southern Comfort. If it ain't one thing, it's another, huh?
-
yeah, it is. i could really use a stiff drink though instead of cooler
How is it SO Cal, I really miss being home, San Diego -
Couldn't resist a posting for this subject!!! I did calm things down during chemo and rads, but I'm sorry...drinking is a part of me and I never gave it up all together. I did drink Buckler's non-alch beer - I recommend highly - in between regular beers. I do find ... 7 months post chemo ... that I think alcohol affects me differently, not for the better! I forget more easily and will find myself "suddenly" drunk. Have a good husband that looks out for me though
-
The weather has been really nice for August, but we are due for a hot spell this week. We've actually been able to see the mountains pretty much all summer.
I just got back from visiting my daughter in Carlsbad for a few days. It's so nice there. She lives three houses up from the beach. We rode bikes and BBQ'd. I will be in San Diego on Labor Day weekend and will think of you. Where did you live in SD? Job take you to Washington?
lini -
Mar,
I didn't even do chemo and am having the same effect. Don't know why. The other night I caught a pretty heavy buzz off of a glass and a half of wine. Could be that I hadn't eaten that much. Always have been a cheap date anyhow, too.

I lived in Lomita Village. I was struggling with two kids from different marriages and didn't want to see them seperated if someh=thing happened to me. not the best area. so I sold a lot of my stuff put the rest in storage packed the car with the girls and what I thought I could get by on and left with @200 in my pocket for Seattle. My sister lived up here at the time at let me borrow her motorhome for two months until I found a job and saved enough to get into an apartment. Never lived in an apartment before that. about 9mo. later I met my husband and we've been together ever simce. that was 16 years ago.
I've been home three times since. -
I know I can't drink much now before I feel it too
-
That's a great story Cheryl. How old are your girls now?
-
My oldest is now 24 and the youngest is now 20. I've quired a step daughter 27 and step son 24. and between them all, expect the youngest I have a 6 yr old granddaughter, a 2 yr old grandson, a 8 month old granddaughter and another granddaughter on the way in Oct.
And I love them all, they are what I fight this battle for
