Wednesday Weigh In

Love it!
-
It has been one of those "raise hand to mouth" weekends. This morning I was up 2.5 lbs from Fri. morning. Back to ww meeting tomorrow morning and back to activity and healthy meals!!!!
-
Carole, I had one of those weekends too! I'm up 3 lbs from Saturday morning. It was a derby party that did me in, french fries, crab cakes, pizza, nachos, and lets not forget the 2 chocolate martinis! I was very good yesterday with food, but the scale was not kind this morning.
-
I also lost all sense this weekend. Saturday to be specific. I joined the gym and was exercising about twice the amount I had been so hunger kicked in and I ate! Donuts for breakfast, mexican food while watching the Derby. The lesson I learned is I must keep good food in the house at all times, and not give myself complete license to eat just because I'm exercising a lot. I think subconsciously I hoped that was true! Up 2 lbs today. It will probably take two or three more days of being good to get that off.
-
Posting a day early … Down 2.4 lbs, all thanks to loseit.com. Still need to get moving more, though.
-
Good for you cdelv! That's an inspiring loss. Glad you didn't succumb to weekend eating like some of us! I'm not very hopeful for my weigh in tomorrow, pants feeling a bit snug today
-
cdelv:
I am reading about a new diet trend in Japan - eating one meal a day. It's from a book which doesn't seem to have an English translation yet. I don't like the fact that there are no citations but I like that you are allowed to to have a cookie in an emergency.
Down 300 grams.
-
The scales were kind this morning! 156. Down from 159.5 on Mon. morning. Have been using my new Nutribullet to make healthy smoothies. Also lots of physical activity, working in the yard, and workout at the gym yesterday morning.
My weight fluctuation has a lot to do with fluid retention.

Not going to weigh until tomorrow! (Because I forgot to when I got up & now I have eaten, drunk a cup of coffee, two glasses of water & am wearing clothes!)
-
haha Ruth, I didn't weigh this morning either! In my case, I don't think the extra day will help, my pants don't lie, and neither does the scale.
-
Well, I'm up half a pound, but I also forgot to weigh in first thing this morning. I ate a slice of multigrain bread and drank some juice and water before I remembered to weigh. I'll weigh in again tomorrow morning and post IF that weight is any better.
-
Ummmm....I'm down 4.
FOUR!
Now, I would LOVE to believe it was from my healthy diet, my running, and the 33 mile bike ride on Sunday. But sadly, the truth is that my ENT put me on a diuretic to attempt to help a Menieres flair. At least 2 pounds were due to that.
But, even knowing that...it was GREAT to see 141 this morning! How long can I safely take this??? Lol!!!!!
-
Down 1 to 132. I was starting to think I would never see that number again. Now to keep it down.
-
I am still up 2 lbs. Discouraging but this always happens when I exercise more so I'm not surprised.
-
Weighed in NAB this morning and I'm only up 0.2 lbs from last week: Weighed in at 119.6.
-
Same as last week....rats!
-
Missed last week but was down yesterday. On loseit.com I joined the challenge "No Sweets in May" and so far, 8 days in, I'm holding well. It's hard though because I feel the chocolate chip cookies down in the company cafeteria calling my name in the afternoon. Plus DS is home for a week and so there's now a peanut butter cake in the fridge that smiles and beckons me each time I open the door. Yikes!
-
What a great challenge, Patoo. I certainly didn't start the month off correctly but I may join you for the rest of the month. I think it will be easier for me to say absolutely not than maybe just one as this is how my month looks. We had a 20 yr anniversary at work. I passed up carrot cake and black forest cake. Tomorrow, a goodbye party. This weekend, a birthday and mother's day. Next weekend, a shower. End of month, a birthday, memorial day and our anniversary. Its a disaster waiting to happen.
-
Twohobbies, I don't envy you all the celebrations.
Ruth, same is nothing to sneeze at...I tell myself.
patoo, yikes! No sweets for a month is torture. Can you have artificial sweeteners?
-
Good luck, TwoHobbies, with all those temptations!
-
Nope, no added sweeteners. I don't add any kind of sugars to drinks, food, etc. anyway so a minor change is having skim milk in my coffee instead of the flavored creamers - which is not hard, but passing up dessert is a challenge! So far, so good. I'm also down 3 lbs. so definitely a benefit there.
-
Woohooo, patoo!! I'll join you in banning added sugar for the rest of May.
-
Heidi and Patoo, just had to pat myself on the back for passing up donuts and chocolate cake yesterday (goodbye party). Last night I really wanted my little chocolate treat that I normally allow myself a few times a week (lindt truffles) but I had a cara cara orange instead.
Today is the birthday dinner. Unfortunately its at the establishment that helped me gain last week but I won't be having any sweets and I'll try to pick out something not too un-healthy before I go.
-
Choosing before you go really helps staying on track. Then you don't even have to read all the yummy bad descriptions.
-
YAY Heidi and twoHobbies.
-
If I don't want to eat too much when eating out I get an appetizer and usually the rest of the group is game to share it.
-
marple that's exactly what I did. I ordered a shrimp appetizer and side salad. No sweets but it has been tough. I do think I ate too much salt though. Really feel fat and bloated the last two days.
-
Down 100 grams. Still going sugar-free (except for fruit).
-
Maintaining.
