Ok, so I am six weeks post BMX.  When I went into this whole process, my surgeons went out of their way to tell me that there would be no more nipple feeling.  Got it.  What they did not mention, is that there may not be feeling at all.  Currently, I have no real feeling in either breast.  I feel pressure and a little of this and that, but no real feeling.  Is it ever gonna come back?  Can I do anything to help it along? Are the Tissue Expanders causing the problem?

I'm really not surprised that your Doctor forgot to mention that there will be NO FEELING in either breast for quite some time and in most cases, forever. It's something they just forget about. Mine did too though honestly it didn't surprise me considering all the nerves that are cut. I'm 3 years out from my BMX , also nipple sparring, and have no feeling in either breast.A small amount has returned to the upper portion but that's about all.You kind of get used to it. Here's a funny story that recently happened to me. I slipped my cell phone in my bra so I wouldn't loose it while at a fair. After an hour or so I needed to make a call and I didn't remember where I had put my phone. In fact, i thought I had lost it. I had my daughter call my number and I was startled to hear myself ringing!! I did not feel it in my bra! Don't swear about itfor as I said you do get used to it.

I am a year and a half out of bilateral mastectomy - no feeling in either breast. Just double-checked again to make sure. I love your story DocBabs!

I'm 6 months out from my exchange and starting to get some feeling back, mostly around the edges - nothing in the center.  I'm having a lot of itching, which my PS said is a sign of things waking up.  I know it will never be the same, but I have hopes that it will continue to improve.
