So scared...could this be a reccurance?

Options

I am 8 months out from my BMX.  I had my implants put in 6 weeks ago.  I just felt a bb sized hard lump just above the incision line.  No pain.  I extensive dcis and 4mm IDC tumor.  Just finished chemo Taxotere/Cytoxan.  I have been on tamoxifen for 3 months.  I am so terrified.  Any similar stories?

Something similar happened to me and it turned out to be a surgical clip.  The ultrasound tech couldn't find it but the radiologist was successful.  Definitely get it checked out but I hope it turns out to be nothing!

Many lumps appear after surgery sometimes and your breast surgeon will be able to set your fears at rest.  Even years later I have lumps by th lymph node incision that is sore.  Mammograms and exams say it's scar tissue...takes a Lon time to heal.  Get your fears. Put to rest and go see your surgeon.. hugs!

I have some lumpy areas around my mx scar, too.   Recently had a PET/CT since I hadn't had one for awhile and nothing lit up.  Just scar tissue.

I have a couple of lumps -- one appeared two years later. Just scar tissue.

I had the same thing.  Mine turned out to be fat necrosis.  I also had a few smaller ones.  These turned out to be the dissolvable sutures.  Turns out my body doesn't always like to dissolve them and pushes them out my skin instead. Hope all these stories help ease your fears and help you breathe easier.  Hope yours turns out to be nothing as well.   ((Hugs!!))

Thanks all!  You have helped me calm down! I will be seeing my onc in a week and I have a call into my surgeon.

I had a "disolveable" suture come through my skin as well. Hopefully that is all it is. :)

So my onc looked at area said it was nothing to worry about. I also had my plastic surgeon evaluate it and he said it felt like a suture and scar tissue.  They don`t recommend biopsy or imaging.  Should I push for more testing? They seem very confident that it is nothing.
