Anyone with ILC ER+/PR+ HER2+ and ILC ER+/PR+ HER2-

Hi All.. Sorry for starting a new thread but continue to get lost in the old ones.. Just wanted to let everyone know who has given me reassurance and guidance up to this far a big THANK YOU... Hoping you can help me on this one.. :)

I have just received  a partial run down of my path report and won't see the oncologist until the 14th of May... Just want some heads up of anyone who has had similar DX and what treatment they received... Seems very confusing.. ?

Basically have had the MX (Left) and pathology has come back as 1st tumor 4cm ILC (Oh by the way it was originally IDC)... Grade 2 HER2+ (weak)? and  2nd tumor 1.6cm Grade 1 HER2-... SNB positive ILC and going back for removal of all lymph nodes on the 20th..

Reading through everyones DX I see that most are HER2- .. Will they treat them the same or will I get two different treatments.. Just wanting to know what I may be up for so I can do a little bit of research before I see ONC..  Thanks

    Hi,

    I am sure others will come along---- but in many cases with her2+ they add herceptin--- so you will want toa ask them about it.  I think they treat whatever they think is the most aggressive and that is her2+.  So chemo and herceptin (which are often offered together).  But given that it is weak, maybe they will recommend that you don't have herceptin and just do  chemo.  There is a her2+ section of the boards and I bet those folks can give you some good guidance and some questions to ask about treatment.
