I'm 8 1/2 weeks out from BMX, 2 sentinel nodes removed (one side), exchange scheduled 6/27. I'm still having armpit burning & sensitivity (both sides). It's a lot better but I'm getting worried it will never go away. Would you all share with me how long it took for yours to heal. I know that there are those that suffer this for years. What a challenge that must be! I'm looking for some reassurance that it's too early to think about coping with this long term. I'm using lidocaine patches and they really help so I can deal for now but please, someone tell me it's not forever.

Oh, at my 2 weeks post op  I asked about it & was told "Well, It may or may not go away. If it doesn't there are medications but they have serious side effects". WTF---sorry

I would suggest PT if possible. Especially by a chemo rehab specialist. It may help. I didn't have a lot of that problem.  Also you may find the TE Trouble thread helpful. Sorry but I can't do links on my phone. Just search for TE Trouble

    Much love.
