I just spoke with Mena and she has had 2 CT scans, one bone scan and goes for an MRI brain scan monday.

Thank you everyone...please don't stop praying...actually the brain mri was today and it was ok...BUT...ct scans show my mets are progressing and I'm starting a new chemo next Thursday...I'm feeling really down right now...this is the sucky part of the rollercoaster...just chugging along...

I am so angry! I've done hormonals and this will be my third chemo...I'm just going to be pitiful for a bit, then I'll get back to throwing punches....

Thanks for all the prayers and please keep praying that the Gemzar kicks some cancer butt! As always, I will continue to pray for all of you as well...Hang tight, Rhyme...Mena...xo

I want you to know that my dear friend who has mets to the liver, lung and bone was seeing no results on anything- UNTIL they added Gemzar.

First she went "stable"
Then she went to "shrinking"
Now she is at "some are gone and the rest are much smaller"
Are they mixing the Gemzar with anything?

I am praying hard for you my friend.

I'm a fricken wreck, and now my car's in the shop, too...I am on Herceptin also NS, but now since I've had progression, I qualify for lapatinib (Tykerb). Please pray I can get it through the Expanded Access Program and that the Gemzar, which I start next Thursday works.

Sweet Mena, I hope you can feel the love and healing we are sending you.
If you have trouble getting the drugs PM me. I will help you. I had to find out all the ways to get these meds for my friend and we got them!
There is NO WAY you won't get your meds.
And Tykerb is EXCELLENT for herceptin resistant her2 ca.
I have the studies if you want them.
