I would like to come. I think I should be able to leave my husband alone by then after his radical prostectatomy.
-
my plan is to be there. oh will have to get a piece of cheesecake for my special day
-
If I get there, I am definitely having cheesecake!
-
Schweet! I'm in I'm in.... and yes, as Odie already knows, I'm not passing up a slice of cheesecake.
-
i'm in!!!
-
Relocated - I started noticing a "shadow" about four weeks after - but met ladies during rads whose hair was 6-8 weeks before it started peeking through - but when theirs came in it came in fast! Mine showed up early, but grew really, really slowly at first (no where near the 1/2" per month they're always talking about -- it's barely 3" long 10 months later), but seems to be growing faster now that I've finished Herceptin.
-
I'm not 100% sure yet, but I will try to make it to lunch tomorrow
-
Can someone confirm the time for tomorrow and that it's Cheesecake Factory at Dulles Town Center? Looking forward to it.
-
Lunch tomorrow at the Cheesecake Factory in Dulles Towne Center at NOON tomorrow.. Can't wait to see everyone.....

Hi ladies. I live in NOVA too. I'm considering a PBMX. Any advice regarding who to see for a PS consult in our area? I'd value some personal recommendations. Thx
-
I highly recommend Dr. Ariel Rad for a PS. He comes from Hopkins and went into private practice here about a year ago. He has offices in McLean and Arlington. Feel free to private message me if you have any questions.
-
Dr. Victoria Suh in Fairfax is my surgeon and I love her! Do you already have a breast surgeon? I think even with a pbmx you'll have a surgery team - surgical oncologist / breast surgeon plus a plastic surgeon.
The local FORCE group might be a great resource, too!
-
will be there
-
Mckatherine, i have dr suh too! love her! (Sherry is having her baby Friday!)
Will miss lunch again
hope to make it in May!
-
see you all soon! Looks like my friend Jess will be able to join us today as well!
As for the plastic surgeon --I had Dr. Mark Venturi.
-
It was great to see everyone yesterday. Next luncheon will be on May 3rd at Ozzie's in Fairfax Corner. Have a good week!
-
Ladies thanks for replying to my post with your recommendations. I do have a breast surgeon and she has worked with 4-5 different PSs. I'm always interested in patient recommendations in addition to what the docs say. Thanks again for taking the time.
-
Our next luncheon is next Saturday at Ozzie's in Fairfax Corner. Please RSVP by Thursday so I can make the reservation....Hope to see everyone there!!!
-
Odie,
I will be there! Thanks.
-
Darn, I'll have to see you gals in June. I have an doggy foster event I need to be at during that time.... have fun!
-
I'm planning to come.
-
hi! I plan to make it!
-
Change in my RSVP - I am not going to make it
just got back from Vaca and my legs are a bit swollen. Doc said to limit activity until it resolves . On coumodin and never knew it caused so many issues other than thin blood
Enjoy and hopefully will catch you next month (if it is not on the 7th)
-
hi ladies, is there a date/place for June lunch?
-
Next luncheon should be June 7th at the Fairfax Sweetwaters (near Arlington Blvd not the Centreville location.) Unfortunately I am not going to be able to make it as my nephew graduates that day so if anyone is willing to handle the reservation, please let me know.
-
Dang, I will not be able to make this one either
It is the day of my daughters wedding shower . My next Exchange surgery is July 3rd so maybe can make the next one if it is after the 5th. hope everyone is enjoying the long weekend!

Hello Ladies,
Just discovered this Northern VA thread. I live in south Alexandria (Fairfax Co). Mary Wilkinson is my MO, Jayne Grayson my RO and Kirsten Edmiston my BS. Looks like you have a monthly lunch. Would love to join you sometime soon! I was DX in early January, have finished 4 DD AC and 4 of 12 weekly Taxol. Feel like I've been very lucky so far with minimal SEs. Hope it continues.
