FOURTH MYSTERY: The Carrying of the Cross
Scripture Reading, John 19: 16-22
So they took Jesus, and carrying the cross himself he went out to what is called the Place of the Skull, in Hebrew, Golgotha. There they crucified him, and with him two others, one on either side, with Jesus in the middle. Pilate also had an inscription written and put on the cross. It read, "Jesus the Nazorean, the King of the Jews." Now many of the Jews read this inscription, because the place where Jesus was crucified was near the city; and it was written in Hebrew, Latin, and Greek. So the chief priests of the Jews said to Pilate, "Do not write, 'The King of the Jews,' but that he said 'I am the King of the Jews.' " Pilate answered, "What I have written, I have written."

behold, from now on will all ages call me blessed.
The Mighty One has done great things for me,

And from your throne, where you dispense pardon and graces, mercifully regard the Church of your Son, his Vicar the Pope, clergy, religious, and laity who are oppressed in the mighty conflict. You who are the powerful vanquisher of all heresies, hasten the hour of mercy, even though the hour of God's justice is every day provoked by countless sins. I who am your least child kneeling here before you in supplication ask you to obtain the grace I need to live righteously on earth and to reign among the just in heaven. The Baptism of Jesus FIRST MYSTERY:
Let us contemplate in this mystery how our Lord Jesus came from Galilee to the river Jordan to be baptized by John. This was to fulfill all of Gods demands. After Jesus was baptized the sky opened and the spirit of God descended like a dove. A voice from Heaven said: This is my beloved son, my favour rests with him. (Mt 3,13-17)

The Presentation
Let us contemplate in this mystery how the Blessed Virgin Mary on the day of her purification, presented the child Jesus in the temple, where Holy Simeon giving thanks to God with great devotion received Him into his arms.
