    Lisa, the moon pictures were fantastic!  It was cloudy here that night and we couldn't see it at all, so I was so glad to see the pictures.  And the rose garden is beautiful, too.  We usually have the first roses blooming around Mother's Day here.  When I was a child, it was a tradition at church to wear a red rose if one's mother was living and a white one if she was not.  Don't know why or how that got started and I never liked it anyway.  The white roses always made me sad.

    Chrissy, glad you got relief for both your back and the LE and hope it lasts until you see the therapist again!  I'm glad the tape is helping so much.

    We kept DGD last night overnight.  Otherwise known as the "baby who does not sleep".  She went down at 9:00 and woke at midnight, then practiced her "talking" and being charming until 2:30 AM before finally sleeping until shortly after 7:00 AM.  The grandparents have been tired all day!

    Nancy, glad you felt a bit better today and hope all are well.

    Hi girls!

    Aly, yes I know you use it that's another reason. Was looking for someone who knows what they are doing so I could try it.  I must admit that I will need to use the water resistant one as the normal one hasn't lasted very long........my skin is too dry and just flakes off so the tape is filling with dry skin and falling off sooner than it should.  I just can't believe how effective it is in getting the lymph to move.

    Kathy, 'the babe that doesn't sleep'?  Yes I had one of those but thank fully when they woke through the night they just chatted to themselves until they fell back to sleep.  Hopefully that's what your DGD did so didn't disturb you too much.

    Lisa, good luck with your grands and a trip to the zoo sounds like a grand idea!

    I have lit the fire for the first time this season........it's probably a little warm today but tonight is supposed to get very chilly and tomorrow when all the kids are here another chilly day.  I lit it today to maintain the warmth in the rooms so they donept complain how cold it is.........lol.

    Kathy, We had the red rose/white rose tradition for Mothers Day too. I wore a white one for my mother (passed when I was 4). One year I asked my grandmother who raised me if I could wear both. She cried. After that I always wore both.

    It's chilly and rainy here. Our art teacher wants us to paint outside from nature, but way too miserable today. Tonight during dinner, I saw a strange green in our neighbor's tree. We went outside and it was a gorgeous rainbow. It looked like it started a block or two away and went directly over our block. It was the closest I've ever been to one. It was a double, but the second one was very faint.

    One morning last week my DH woke me ( unusual for him) to tell me that there was a double rainbow at sunup.  I did get out of bed to go and see but by the time I got the camera sorted they had both faded to the point there was not much left.  He found it strange that there were two and the sky was clear........I told him that the moisture in the air was enough for the sun to hit the particles at the right angle to create the prism effect.   I love rainbows!

    I've seen two a number of times and a faint third once when we lived high in a condo over the water (I'm sure the perspective helped). I didn't know you could see a rainbow if you were "in it" if you know what I mean. I thought some distance from the source would be required. Huh! Learn something new every day - love it!

    love thepics, girls.. I haven't been too "chatty" lately, my FIL finally did pass this month. right now, just wishing everyone who celebrate a Blessed Easter.

     I'm not doing well at all with the ms, it seems to be progressing at a rapid rate. But could slow down (I hope) or even reverse itself!

      Mac: when I see the pics, oh my!makes me soo homesick! haven't been to the island for at least 10 yrs now!!It IS a great place to recoup, for sure..hope your little "problem is solved.. I myself, have to use miralax, and perdiam. More hgher doses than normal, cause I take narcotics daily, too..

    Hi ya 3jays!  happy Easter to you too.  So so sorry to hear that your FIL passed, my condolences to you, Mur and his family.......he was such a grad old man and I was very privelaged to meet him when I was there.  I'm so hoping that your MS slows down or that it can be reversed.......miracle do happen.  Take care you, I love it when you pop in.

    Lisa that sure is a strange bird........not sure what it is but it is definitely a bird of prey with that beak!  Beautiful none the less.  Great idea about the zoo, shame everyone else had it too.......lol.

    Just waiting for the killings to arrive and then we are going out for lunch so it's time I got I to my glad rags!  Happy Easter to all who celebrate!

    FYI - I looked up the secretary bird in Wikipedia. They grow to 4 feet tall and feast on small animals from mice to hares. They're native to Africa and are welcomed because they eat snakes. There was a photo of one flying; looked like a small airplane.

    I love the zoo pics Lisa, and that is one strange looking bird!  Barbe's probably right about the beak, but it looks to me like it could rip open anything it wants to! 

    Hope you had a nice lunch out, Chrissy.  It's always nice to be taken out!  

    We'll do most of our Easter cooking tomorrow, along with house cleaning.  I bought my first "Honey Baked Ham" and it just needs to be heated, and DIL's mother is bringing prime rib, which I think will be eaten mainly by her and my DH and son.  My eating habits are strange in that I don't eat rare meat--DH says my steak is "crisp" and I suppose it is.  Love to order a filet in restaurants but always ask that it be butterflied to get it well done.  Can't eat red or even pink.  

    Always so good to see you, 3jays, and I'm sorry about Mur's father.  Losing our parents is surely one of the hardest losses we must face. Hope the doctors can find something for you that will slow down the MS.  And I agree with Chrissy.  Miracles can and do happen.

    Lol Barbe, I just looked back at what I wrote.......that will teach me to proof read before I hit submit!  Yes, I did mean kidlings (not killings) although there were times in their lives that I could have gladly done just that........lol.  Lunch was delicious and I'm sure that very few of us will be wanting any dinner.  Those kidlings have just left for their two hour drive back to the city and DH had decided to go back to his shop so all is quiet here.....aaaahh!  Nice cup of tea and a relax is definitely in order.

    wren, how did you figure out that was a secretary bird!!! I'm so impressed! And yes, I googled it and do see it eats small animals. Way to go!!! Here I was comparing it's beak to the cockatoos and wild birds in the Caribbean....

    Barbe, Don't be impressed. Someone said it was. I wouldn't have had a clue. Very odd looking bird. I think the beak resembles an eagle's.

    Years ago the Wild Animal had a birds of prey show and featured the secretary bird doing all sorts of commands..very impressive. Since then, whenever I visit the San Diego Zoo and the elephant exhibit, I stop by and see the two secretary birds.

    I haven't been to the Zoo for years but I will be in the City for three days due to appointment on the first and third days (couldn't organise it closer....grrr) so I have a whole day to fill.........I think I may just visit the animals and say hello.........lol.  the walking will do me good and as I will be alone, I can stroll at my pace.     Sounds good to me!!!!

    OMG!  Those Tulips look look Carnations!   They are so frilly........stunning!  I wonder where in Queensland they were bred as the weather there is more hot and humid and I wouldn't have guessed that you could grow them there.
