ok so I know that this is for ladies already diagnosed but I really need some questions answered. I'm 24 mom of three still breast feeding my youngest who is 11 months. Found a place on my right breast a couple months ago it wasn't a lump but just felt like thickening tissue, got it checked by OBGYN last week and had a ultra sound, they said it looked normal just some congested milk ducts whatever that is.. Anyway my OBGYN said to come back in a month and if it's still there to have a biopsy just to be safe... Got a second opinion from my family doctor who said it just felt like thick glandular tissue and that a biopsy would be over kill but Ofcourse I will have the biopsy! Anyway, I'm really stressing out of my mind right now and was just wondering what some of your ladies symptoms were and if I should be as freaked out as I currently am😢

I think I'd be inclined to believe the doctors that it is breastfeeding changes & that it would be fine to wait a while.

This is an LCIS thread, so you might get better responses on the not diagnosed thread unless you have a prior history of ALH or LCIS.

I remember that "thickened" feeling when nursing both my kids; that's normal, everything is engorged.  I've read it takes nearly a year for the breast tissue to completely return to normal after breastfeeding. I'd be hesitant to rush to a biopsy, unless something suspicious is seen on mammo.
