Got my first cut today

At Target. Freaked out. Immediately put Neosporin on and a bandaid. I've washed it out with soap and water since I got home and reapplied Neosporin. If I'm going to get an infection how soon will I know. What am I looking for?: fever, redness around the cut??? This just royally sucks!

mcgis, you done good! Glad you had your supplies handy and were able to act so quickly. You can expect some swelling just from the injury itself--that happens whether we have LE or not, so no need to panic with that. As for infection, here's information about what to watch for:
